RBC Royal Bank

I opened my accounts here for the express reason of getting the AirPod offer. Guess what ? Never got the AirPods And their system for online shopping is ridiculous! Can’t use your client card like every other bank. Nope they issue a special card just for online shopping. But didn’t matter anyway because they could never get my client card working so that I could use it at a retailer nor my online shopping card. I tried getting assistance 3 times on the phone. Ha! Those jokers don’t know a thing. But the best was going into the Branch twice and having the Manager assist me. She insisted that her computer said that everything was registered. Well I tried them both and still…. Nothing. So I just now tried to close both accounts and that was really fun! They wanted me to come in to cancel. I can’t do that cause I’m very ill with Long COVID. So they want to charge me $20. And then she starts to tell me that they will be calculating a percentage of the monthly fee as well! At that point I was at the end of my patience and I told her to just forget it and I would just call the nincompoops that couldn’t get it right in the first place at the Branch because they would not be getting 1 more penny from me! With all the monthly fees I dished out, for basically nothing,, I could have just bought the AirPods. ‍ Never again will I try Royal Bank.

I wanted to share my appreciation for the fantastic help I got from Ms. Kaitlin Gay, a bank officer at Royal Bank on Taunton Rd East in Oshawa. Right from the start, she was super helpful and went out of her way to assist me with my banking stuff. What really impressed me was how fast she sorted out my issues, showing she really cares about keeping customers happy. Ms. Gay kept me in the loop and made sure I understood everything during the process. She handled things quickly and professionally, and I think she deserves a big shout-out for that. In an industry where great service isn't always easy to find, Ms. Kaitlin Gay shows that Royal Bank is serious about doing things right. I'm grateful for her help and hope the bank recognizes what a great job she's doing.

I went in to update my name on my accounts today and get a new credit card sent to me. I was helped by Kylee. The accounts update was quick and easy actually the fastest and least difficult of any of the banks I’ve had to deal with since getting married and changing my name. She listened to me and was very nice.nnThe line moved fast which is unusual for a bank.
