CIBC ATM

CIBC Customer over 20 years and in past 5 years customer service is going down, last week send international money transfer in canadian dolars and and on receiving end they received US dolars, went to bank again and asked fo invastigation they said they cant trace it and cant find out who changed to US $, I ended up losing over 3000$

Opened a business banking account in 2022 and was told everything is good and it is active. I deposited cheques into this account, and then the account stopped working. I was not notified by anyone and received nothing to let me know that I have no access to my business account. I went to the Eastgate location SIX times to fix this in person. I work a lot and have to try to go within bank hours. Amanda helped me every time and assured me that it would be fixed every time and every time nothing happened. I am still waiting now 9 months after the account is open for a resolution. I still cannot deposit any more cheques or access my money that is in the account. I have went in person and called to try to get this resolved about 10 times and the manager or Amanda have no resolution and no follow up. I have a personal account with CIBC that was opened during Covid, and that banking was so smooth so I thought to open my business account with them. What a big mistake. Still waiting for a manager or ANYONE to call me back to reserve this. I keep being told to come into the branch and I’ve been there 6 times and no one seems to fix the issue. All this stress and upset because a senior member of their bank couldn’t properly open the account, and due to negligence did not verify my correct LAST NAME that was on my ID & articles of incorporation. I would not trust my banking here, especially not with Amanda.

Without getting into details, this branch has allowed fraudulent activity to happen. Been trying to reach the manager and does not return calls and his email bounces back. Beware!

Made an appointment for a specific reason at this branch. I was told to wait in the seating area until the employee was ready to see me. 20 mins later I was told he was running late...and he wasn't even in the building! I was told to reschedule my appointment, what's the point of an appointment system when the person in question doesn't even show up. My visit was only redeemed by the fact that there was a very polite young lady at the welcome desk that was able to help me out and complete what I went there to do, I'm only sorry that she has to work in such an unorganized environment! She stayed calm and polite under pressure of doing someone else's work and she should be commended for that. I'm sorry I can't remember her name.

Pam was wonderful at explaining our options. She found the best way for us to save money on our home in these difficult times and we are so grateful. Thank you CIBC.

Always long line ups and too few tellers. Just saw one teller close now only one open with a lineup of 20 people waiting. Raise standards of customer service and I will raise my review. UPDATED Staff at this location accepted my name for a transaction performed by someone else. This is absurd. If anyone can walk into your bank and give whatever name they like? NEVER GO HERE.

They have my retirement funds which I transferred to them....people were promoted and I've been there 3 times in those long line ups! Just transferred more over before this happened.... no one has called and I have to walk there with copd! Done will sit there till someone addresses this, pulling my money out!

Very friendly and polite staff. Even those in offices always come out and offer help. But I have seen people intimidating and yelling at them. I feel bad for the front line staff. In spite of all the verbal abuse they are going through, they always treat you professionally and with a friendly smile. Keep up the good work guys.
