Ramada Plaza Montreal

Mid-July, Mid-week stay; We stayed in 229 in there south extension which was in pristine condition, all amenities were functional and safe, except a single lightbulb in one of lamps, but that’s not a huge deal. The floors are in perfect condition, along with the other mains surfaces. Windows, shades and blackouts are very nice! Queen sized bed is comfortable and the bedding was clean, i believe the duvet cover had a tiny coffee stain but that’s all, still really great. AC is very nice, the unit is very powerful. Parking wasn’t too busy, note that they disclose their charge of 10$ per night, which would be fair if parking didn’t run out as it allegedly does on the weekend. Rooms score 5 stars to do the tradeoff with the price. $394,- for 2 nights comes to around $100 per night per person for great rooms, nice breakfast and a swimming pool. Service loses a star simply because I found interaction with staff to be scarce and I’d say requests and questions are hard to communicate with some staff members. Location loses a star due to this being a difficult neighbourhood to do good in the category. But its proximity to the metro is very nice. Very good hotel, I recommend.

It's an alright hotel. For Montreal hotel prices, it's fine but don't think you get your money's worth, booked because of other hotel prices and proximity to subway. Appreciate breakfast being included in the price but the pastries are stale. They do a good job of communicating the parking situation but didn't use my car out of fear of not having a spot. Elevators took forever which was strange when I didn't see a lot of people coming and going. Also, found it strange that housekeeping was still cleaning around 5 PM short stay so just skipped it. Room was okay, nothing special.

Chose this hotel because of the location and “buffet breakfast” which was just half cooked scrambled and boiled eggs added to a continental breakfast, no cream for the coffee. Our room had a king sized bed with 3 twin sized pillows on it, no counter space in the bathroom, a big stain in the bathtub and hair all over the shower wall. When I brought up the issues in the morning to the receptionist she just said “oh, well did you call the desk for more pillows?” We did not as we didn’t check in till after midnight.

Very clean hotel and nice pool. The shower in my room on the 3rd floor sprayed out good hot water with a lot of power, a divinely relaxing experience. Turn on the exhaust fan to get rid of the steam from your shower or leave the fan off if you want the steam room experience.nOn the other hand, my room for 2 adults had only one chair and one desk ... and no dresser to store my clothes.nThe parking lot does not have enough spaces for the guests' vehicles when the hotel is near capacity. Street parking is sometimes available.

The room was good. Needs a little maintenance with the toilet. Breakfast was okay, several options. The parking was a bit hectic when the lot is full to park another location. Otherwise the hotel was clean. A bit of a distance to restaurants and others.
