We used rainforest moving and storage to move us from the home that we sold, into their storage facility and then a week later to move us from storage into our new home. We were quoted a certain price but at the end we paid close to $1,000 more than what we were quoted. There was also damage incurred during the move: a hole in the wall in the home we were selling, that the owner came and repaired but my husband had to find paint and repaint it. Then there were a variety of glass and ceramic dishes that were broken. A standing lamp and its shade were also broken. Also our dining room table had a gouge in it as well as other marks that had to be repaired. The owner of the company was responsive to my request for repair to the table and we went through their insurance which covered the costs. it was done in a timely manner. We were not altogether pleased with the service provided by Rainforest. The price was higher than we were quoted and the movers seem to be very rough with our goods as there was damage done. The owner was good in responding to my messages. The movers were very punctual and hard working.
Satisfied and happy with our experience moving from Vancouver to Richmond. Communication is straightforward. I didn’t have to worry about anything at all. Trusted them to do their job and they did it professionally and effectively. No complaints. Would recommend.
In the one photo I took see below, there's Shawn coming down the ramp, the fantastic crew chief for our move to Bowen Island. Shawn also directed our move out of our Vancouver condo, and both parts - move-in as well as move-out were fantastic. Moving is not fun. I am sure you know that. But as much as possible, Rainforest Moving made it as painless as possible. James bent over to accommodate the peculiarities of this move picking up stuff that we had stored elsewhere; not grousing about a few items we'd not told him about during the estimating process: and taking care re Covid 19 to keep everything sanitary, etc. . These guys were great. Not a jot of damage, nary a scratch. Good guys, good service, good price. Can't beat that.
