Rain Sushi

The price and quality of the rolls are so amazing. The portion sizes are just right. It's probably one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Toronto. I'll be going back. I highly recommend the sushi rolls with fresh mango drizzled with sauce.

November 8, 2022 - PERMANENTLY CLOSED It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Rain Sushi. The new owners have decided to cease Rain Sushi operations and focus on the other side of the business, Ono Poke Bar. Rain Sushi was THE BEST sushi place under the original owners. So this is devastating to see it closed. ——————————————————————— May 29, 2022 - 2nd Update: To reiterate, Rain Sushi is under new ownership and is now sharing the store front with another store, Ono Poke Bar. I’m not going to lie, I am disappointed that the new owners removed some items from the original menu mainly the Tokyo roll and the desserts but the new poke bowls are pretty good. I really like the Big Island with extra salmon. They also kept some items from Rain Sushi, however, I still feel like the quality isn’t as good. Initially, I was very upset with the quality when the new owners took over but they seems to have settled in and I’ve seen a slight improvement. The new owners seem nice and the service was not too bad; it’s about a 10min wait time. With all things considered, It’s still a pretty good place to grab a bite, especially if you want something healthy and delicious. ______________________________________ April 22, 2022 UPDATE: Rain Sushi has gone under new ownership. Before I give a more in depth review, I’ll give the new owners time to get settled in. But, from my first impressions, it is not at the same standard as the original Rain Sushi, unfortunately. ______________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: 5/5 Amazing food. Even better service. It's a very cute and cozy place that makes you feel welcomed the second you step in, and the staff are so friendly and polite. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area because the reviews won't do Rain Sushi justice. You have to experience it for yourself My recommendations: Tokyo Roll, AK47 Roll, Takoyaki, Mango Slush Bubble Tea, and anything really! UPDATE: Due to the pandemic, Rain Sushi is operating as take-out and delivery only during limited hours. Still doesn't change the fact that they are an amazing sushi restaurant. #SupportLocalBusinesses

Such a cute quaint shop - family run. Prices are incredible, unbeatable and as well as the quality. Owner and son are extremely nice and treat you well! They deserve all the stars! I love this place! Very happy they opened up here. EXTREMELY happy to have a very tasty and affordable sushi shop open in the neighborhood. Please stay forever

Excellent foods and services. The crazy salmon and paradise roll are sooooo yummy. One of the best sushi in Toronto. Good price, its hard to find such good quality for this price. All the staffs in the restaurant are very nice and professional. Good job. For sure will come again.

The rolls we had were intricately made, delicious, flavour bombs! Our favourites were the crazy salmon roll and honey roll. Friendly family run business. Will be coming back for more soon!

This place seems to share a business with Ono Poke Bowl but still has the name Rain Sushi and sells items from their old menu. We wanted to try the Poke Bowls and were told to wait 15 minutes as they are very busy Thursday Night. We waited around 20 minutes to get our food. The poke bowls are delicious. Service was a bit slow.

We popped by for a late lunch/snack and were so impressed for the quality we are getting at the price point! She let us know the tuna and salmon were fresh and came in that morning! It was great! Look forward to going back and check out the sushi now that we check out the rolls! They are also so kind and friendly! The place only got a few tables so I imagine they do take out more. Will certainly come back.

First time trying out the poke bowls and they were awesome, fresh, and healthy. Highly recommend Big island and torched salmon.

Used to love this place. It used to be our go-to for sushi. But we ordered today and it was not the same. They forgot the soup, the tempura was just soggy, and the sushi combo was just lackluster and without the usual variety see picture. Not sure if they changed ownership or something, but not the same. Very disappointed. Will not be ordering again.

This place is a gem! Great customer service and excellent food. The sushi was fresh and tasty. We are definitely coming back for more!
