Racetrack Campground and Picnic Area

Should have stayed longer. Free camping. 5 mile dirt road. The nicest one I've been on. A few spots but nothing too tricky. I don't even have a truck and easily made our way up. Field area for big rvs and if you go further a loop for smaller rvs or tents. My spot was next to 5 17ft trailer had 3 ways down to the rushing River. The scenery was so good I didn't feel like i needed to explore around too much. Great stars no ants. Some bees greeted up on arrival then left. The town anaconda has a real grocery store.

Beautiful area with running crystal clear water. There are bear in the area with many warnings and bear boxes for food storage. There were many ATV's and offroad vehicles running in the area. The next campsite over had a wonderful friendly family. Further down was "that camper", loud music and running generator ruining the nature of the area. I am not sure why but the outhouses both had bullet holes in the doors and wet toilet paper on the floor. Why, why, why do people destroy things for no reason? The road into the site appears to not have been graded in quite some time. It was rough, washboard and full of potholes.

It's so gorgeous and serene there!!! I always love going!! The only issue is on the way there, the road is really bad and needs to be leveled so small cars can drive without getting the suspension messed up.

Went camping for a weekend and it was one of the best camping spots I've been to yet! There is a great creek right by it that is excellent for catching fish. Lots of trees for shade, and if your looking for a challenge head up the hill for a steep hike. Up the road further is a small pond that the kids had an fun time catching frogs. No cell service so you have a chance to escape into Montanas beauty. Cant wait to go there again!

Such a beautiful place to camp, fish, and enjoy your family time, because there's NO WI-FI OR CELL SIGNAL! Gives lot's of time to have outdoor fun!

It's very quiet, but not watched very close, we were gone from camp for awhile & someone broke in & stold every thing from my son's trailer.

Out houses were clean. Road out to camp is horrible. Big pot holes. Beautiful scenery.
