Hickory House Inn

The building was charming and in a great location. Sadly although there was candy covering all the entrance tables, we were not welcomed by anyone upon arrival. I had emailed twice asking if we could include my 4 yr old granddaughter in our reservation. No replies. We also asked if they could accommodate our vegan diets. At breakfast, strictly at 8:30, we were not greeted so we wandered into the dining room. It looked like there was not room for us, there were plates heaped with sausage and eggs on the table. I asked the cook if he had received my emails. He rudely replied no and left the room. And said goodbye to me. Sadly, they are unable or unwilling to accommodate special diets. This is the most unwelcome Bed and Breakfast Inn that I have ever encountered and I will not stay here again. And I would not recommend it. And the room was quite cold - the heat couldn’t be adjusted above warm. But the beds were warm and comfy with extra blankets.

Dog friendly is always a plus. Came to town and didn't have a reservation for here, but luckily they had some cancellations and we were able to get a room.nnBreakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious, made from scratch. Service was top notch and very helpful. The owner was very cordial and willing to help if we needed any assistance.nnThis Inn is right in the heart of town, walking distance from several eateries, pubs, breweries, movie theater, and the downtown square.nnIf you get a chance, this is the place you want to stay whether you're passing through or visiting the area. Historical point of interest that you get to stay in, with fresh breakfast served NOT a typical continental breakfast like a Best Western.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hickory House Inn. Beautiful B&B, delicious sit down breakfast and met some great people! All in one of our favorite Montana towns. Highly recommend!!

We have stayed at the Hickory House several times before but this time we took the grandkids. They loved it! We played the board games that are there and in the morning we enjoyed a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast.

Beautiful place to stay! Incredible/friendly staff, exquisite breakfast best I’ve ever had… anywhere, ever!!, and perfect location! I definitely will be back in the future. :
