OMG!! This is one of the nicest parks I've ever been to. Amazing stream runs through it. Gravel and paved foot paths. They have horseshoes, a duck pond; well two that I have found, baseball fields, a nice pool, several playgrounds, amazing campfire pits, grills, grass is green and soft - perfect for a picnic. Well maintained.nThey also have overnight camping for you - but it is a PARK... so no dumping stations, no showers.. no ele hookups, it's basically a place to park. But the few that were out there seemed to be enjoying the camp right by the stream.nLovely.. just lovely. Freddie approved!
I had a blast yesterday taking pictures and walking the trail! What a splendid area to relax in. I even got to see a little Woodpecker!
Beautiful little park with walking trail. Dog and kid friendly. Heard a local say there was a Mountain Lion spotted near there chasing a deer this week. Just be alert during times with less people present
Amazing park, which allows camping, but with one major issue. We were there on a Thursday night and the kids in the area were amazingly obnoxious, tearing all over the gravel lot and the roads around the park in loud cars and trucks, dirt bikes, ATVs, and ORVs. This started soon after our arrival, around 8pm, and continued until just before midnight.nnThere were a few other people camping too, and I’m quite certain the noise was not just kids being kids, but an attempt to threaten/intimidate those staying in the park. I’m amazed the neighbors put up with it, tbh. The park should have quiet hours and the police should enforce them.nnOther than that issue, the park is amazing, and we really appreciated being allowed to camp. We made sure to do some shopping in town before leaving to show our support for the town.
This park is spectacular! It has a playground, a small pond for geese and ducks, a small area for camping, a river winding through the entire park, a horseshoe area, walking path and a baseball diamond and tennis court. We came to just put out our camp chairs and let the dogs play in the river. They keep it very nice!
