This place has the potential to be one of the greatest parks in New Haven County! It has a nice trail for walking with a very nice view of Long Island Sound. There are also two separate fenced in dog parks on the premises one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. There are basketball and tennis courts as well as a nice large playground for younger kids. The only problem(s) I have with Fort Hale / Black Rock Park is the hard drug use in and around the area; especially after the sun goes down. And unfortunately there is often trash littered throughout the grounds.
