Great site, stunningly beautiful spot, safe swimming. Whales, dolphins and seals in the bay and a Bald Eagle overhead. Good showers, plenty of toilets, good little store and fantastic staff. My husband was ill and Michelle on reception could not have been kinder or more helpful. Also the staff full of advice re local attractions etc.
View is beautiful, right on the beach. Staff shortage, so office is not open when it is supposed to be. Main bathrooms/showers attached to office are very dirty. Three shower stalls and only 1 works, other 2 are out of order ALL week. Comparable price to all other campgrounds. 2 Swing playground.
I have yet to stay here, but my visit on the off season was impressive, except it seems they don't offer showers, which is important to me in a campground. Playground appears to be in pieces, hopefully they accomplish building it by next season
Beautiful, clean, and tidy campground bordering the ocean and river estuary. Spacious sites with water and electric hook-ups. There is a sani-dump available as well. The port-a-potti's were the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. The staff are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Wildlife of all sorts abound...seals, ducks, geese, and resident eagles on the daily. This is a gem of a campsite that doesn't break the bank. 5 Stars
Clean bathroom but it closes at 8pm and showers are closed at 7pm. Not very convenient and when it's after 8pm, only portable potties are there to use. The advertised playground isnt there and is fenced around. People don't obey the no generator hours and younger crowds up late beyond midnight with no real enforcement by host. However, convenient location and beautiful view of ocean.
Stayed on the cabins for 3 nights. The view is spectacular. The cabins are equipped with kitchen needs and linens. New beds and couches this year. Very comfy!
great beach and oceanview but everything regarding the campground itself isnt nearly as nice. 30$ per tent for washrooms that close at 7pm, showers that you have to pay extra for and not even a picnic table If you dont pay extra for a waterfront site is not justified.
Perfect place, wish they had laundry services, and a swimming pool or even some hot tubs. Staff are all excellent and friendly. Always very busy doing all what they can to help everyone staying at your site needs. Hats off to the best place we have stayed out of many in Victoria, Parksville, Nanaimo and other areas on the mainland. Thx
I love it here. Simple cosy cabins with the basics. Always clean and peaceful. Relax, unwind and enjoy the view!
Found this site while driving up the coast, running out of options and considering a hotel for the night. This was a lovely find!! We were lucky they had sites for tenting. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful! And hot showers!!! This will be a destination in the future :
