I found this to be a beautiful short day-hike. My girlfriend and I were about to complete both the upper and lower falls within about 1 hour, covering every path available. Since I was here at the end of February some small isolated pools of water were frozen and the paths were a little bit slick from the river spray freezing on the paths. The paths are largely foliage covered gravel so the footing is great even when there is a little ice. We came here as a stop through on the way the Cathedral grove. It makes a great addition to complete a full day.

very nice walk on both sides of river to see the falls . A must see and walk for Vancouver island.
