The place looks amazing in terms of desserts, but the prices are as you expect, airport prices. So expect to pay about $5 per cookie to $15 for a small chocolate flourless cake. But even still, they look pretty damn amazing, I don't think you can really go wrong with what you choose when you're there. The only caveat is to not buy things with your eyes because if you do, you might go bankrupt since they all look so darn good. All the desserts are a good size and definitely not diet friendly, hahaha. Don't be afraid to ask for what they recommend and what the most popular thing is, it might give a chance to try something new. It seems like there is a dessert for almost everyone, even some with different eating restrictions. Give it a shot, see what you think. They also serve coffee as well, although it might not be comparable to what Starbucks offered whom rented that space prior to these guys, but I am sure it is still pleasant. Again, when you go there and you're worried about spending all your money there remember buy with not your stomach or your eyes. Go in there, are you decided what you want and stick to your guns and you should be able to get out of there with most of your money intact. Hehehe.
Good coffee and a lot of bread options. Definitely treat to eye, the set up looks amazing. You cruise through the bread options and end up at the coffee counter.
Compared to other locations they have less baked goods. But kind of expected since it's at the airport. So if you want to try more selections hit up the other locations!
One of my favourite bakeries now open at the airport. Located just outside the international departure gates, this is one of Vancouver’s best for treats sooo good. My fav is the flourless chocolate cake… I’ve known people to smuggle this in their luggage to take back home !!! Enjoy.
I used to stop at Purebread a lot when I lived in Vancouver. Basically multiple times a week. Glad they opened this new spot at YVR. They said it opened back in June. Same taste and flavours you'd expect at all their locations: Chili Cornbread: amazing as always with chili, cheese and bits of corn in the cornbread. A staple for me. Zucchini Cake: a fun twist with that twist being more healthy. Tons to order and a variety of items to pick. Worth picking up some items for your flights or after you land at YVR.
Any cream bun is good, I got passion fruit cream bun and Nutella cream bun. Ice Americano is good! I love the deep coffee taste and there’s honey at self serving bar . Compared to starb… it’s not expensive and very tasty . Sometimes all drinks are $3.75. Why not?!
Pricey, however great service and quality.
Ordered the tomato and spinach brioche, expecting it to be a vegetarian item. Come to find out there’s pieces of Ham baked in it. No sign or disclaimer that there is any type of meat in it. Typically a tomato and spinach good would only be tomato and spinach.
The pastries are obviously well known and always wonderful. To my surprise the flat white I had was also equally amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. They do get busy but it’s worth the wait. Staff were also so patient and friendly - thank you Great way to treat yourself before a flight.
