Very delicious cheese tarts! Usually a short line up and quick service. They pack the desserts into these very cute yellow boxes. However, they don't accept cash, so make sure to have a debit or credit card. Must try!!
The cheese tart is tasty, gooey, warm and amazing tasting. Like eating creamy, thick, savory and sweet cheezy lava in a butter crisp crust. Gem!
Not very good. If you had a Hokkaido cheese tart before, Castella cheese tart not gonna get any score. But in general the crust was flaky, cheesy filling wasn’t so creamy and a bit runny and sour.
They have a unique cheesecake, a tart crust with a creamy center. They serve it warm and fresh a sign says they make them every hour?, limited seating in the store but wasn't a problem when I visited. New favorite cheesecake!
So delicious, must try! Crust is flaky flavourful butter shortbread cookie and cheese filling is so soft not too sweet just right!
I had only the little cheese tarts that were sold in a minimum set of three. They were creamy and buttery like those I had in Japan.
I've had the cheese tarts here on several occassions, they are quite delicious! The crust is flaky and buttery. The filling was runny and tasty. I would recommend heating the tart up before eating! On the otherhand, I would not recommend the souffle cheesecake. I received one as a gift and it tasted really off. There was no hint of sweetness, the cheesecake was really dry and crumbly and honestly, it kind of tastes like paper or cardboard. I don't know if I got a bad batch or what but it's disappointing
I visited here with my friend in the evening on Dec 9 , and the employee gave us the NASTIEST attitude. She was just rude from the beginning. I asked her a simple question about the drink sizes and she replied "well isn't it obvious, it's a drink of course there's a big and small size". Completely uncalled for given how it was just a simple clarification question. Later on, I had some food leftover so I asked for a bag and paid the $0.25 for it. As the employee was handing me the bag, she eyes my table and rudely tells me to clean up my leftovers on the table. She didn't even give me a chance to WALK BACK to my table, and put my food inside the bag I just bought for that very reason. I will not be returning to this establishment again, and I would deter anyone else from visiting. There are many other castella cheesecake locations in Vancouver that do not have this level of disrespectful service. *Conversations were in Mandarin, Chinese*
3 for $13 and the best money I’ve ever spent on cheese tarts. Repeat buyer. Definitely something to try!!!
conveniently located in Richmond centre, good service, but the basque cheesecake is overcooked and is a little crumbly.
