Prince of Wales Hotel

We had a great experience in October at the Prince of Wales. Prior to booking, I called the hotel and spoke to the evening manager. I can't remember his name. I told him we wanted a specific room from the website and he ensured that that room was booked for us. We were so happy! My husband and I had a deep tissue couple's massage at the Secret Garden Spa, which was lovely. Ultimately, my husband and I were impressed with the room and service. Of course, the location is perfect too.

My Mom and I had our lunch here, with the Traditional tea in the Drawing room. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The hostess and our waitress Jodi, were so friendly. As recommended, I called ahead as we were running late - an accident on the Skyline Bridge and then waiting for a ship to pass the locks...we were delayed. They were very appreciative for the call and very obliging for the delay. The tea was delicious as well as their food. Such a wonderful experience and introduction to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Hotel is lovely and feels quaint. Lots of up and down stairs in our section. Not sure how accessible it would be for many. Room was a large 2 bed with fireplace. Clean and comfortable. Used the pool/hot tub which was also clean and not too busy. Mostly adults in this location which was nice. Located walking distance to everything in NOTL. Breakfast at the restaurant was included and that was good otherwise it would be too pricey for what you get to eat there. Service negative, we requested additonal towels they only include 2per room! at approximately 6 pm before leaving for dinner. No towels were ever brought and we didn't request again as we were heading to bed and didn't care to wait up. Would definitely return though. Lovely place on a busy fall day.

Stayed with our Smooth Collie in the Evans Cottage. This was the first time traveling with this dog so we stayed with him the whole time and did not leave him alone in the room. He loved the couch and the bed! He loved being able to walk right out the front door with no stairs or elevators to the park directly across the street. The room service, which we had exclusively, was top notch, but way too big of portions. It took us hours to finish to try to finish each meal. LOL

Wonderful location and a beautiful hotel full of history and grandeur!nnFantastic service from all the staff we encountered and our included breakfast was fantastic. As was our server, Marco.nnWe did have some issues in our suite that I noted in the Room Review section.
