The Press Box is a great sports bar with EVERY game! Delicious food, 40 TVs and excellent service. Happy hour is super generous with $3 micro pints and a discounted food menu. There are multiple seating areas with space for private gatherings or groups, private casino gaming, pinball machines,a pool table and a full service liquor store. The Press Box is merely a few feet from the foot bridge that leads to the Grizzly Stadium, the home of die hard Griz fans and sport enthusiasts. They even have the Jets gamesbefore they started winning.
I like it here, and have been for both breakfast, lunch and usually chocolate milk too. Nice place to watch the whole entire football game without anyone bothering you. Great location not far from the river and the bike trail.
Great place. Good servers. Food was 7 out of 10. Will gladly return!
I can't speak for the establishment itself as I haven't been there, but I got food delivered and it was great. I'd been craving a good chili and decided to try this place out. I'm from the south and we like our chili spicy, and I hadn't really found a place that has chili with the amount of heat I wanted. This place has it. It's a great, hearty, homemade chili with just the right amount of spice. Also tried the chips and salsa and the salsa here is great- chunky and chock full of onions, cilantro, and jalepeno the way god intended it.
First the good. We ordered the Griz burger and Griz chicken burger and both were really good, very tasty. There was enough beer choices for pretty much every taste. Plenty of screens to watch sports from any spot inside. The not so good. When we walked in we stood at the bar so we could order our drinks and with 3 people behind the bar they just looked at us a couple times. After about 4 minutes one of them finally asked what we would like. This was a Thursday night and the place had about 12 guest inside, so not busy at all. We got our beers and sat at a table and the waiter dropped off menus right away. Then went on to visit other guest for a while...like we were nearly done with our beers before he eventually came back to take the order. I made it clear we were not happy with that. From there on he did a great job. We were happy we got our food order in because for whatever reason they closed the kitchen early. More guest came in and was told the kitchen was closed, so they left. The whole feeling was there are several employees who did not seem to care to be working. A could care less attitude. Too bad, the other things that were great would make this a place we would return to. But we will go elsewhere when we come back to town. Visit date 10/20/22
Great local sports bar with a great vibe... lots of room & TV's in every direction... special event area... live poker room most of the time. Parking is a premium, but close other options available. Great food & drink options for all...
Newish menu missing a couple of old favorites. Food is still good and atmosphere remains the same. The daytime service could use a little improvement but overall not bad.
My wife and I visited the Press Box the morning of October 9, 2021. It was a Griz football gameday so the place was packed but we managed to score a seat at the bar! They had a few different bartenders working and they all took care of us equally to make sure we always had drinks and were doing okay. We did the gameday brunch buffet that was $12.50. The spread included eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, potatoes, pastries, crab cakes and so much more. I don’t know if I would get it again just because I think the price was a little steep but I did enjoy it. I sure love the atmosphere in the Press Box and appreciate all the televisions available to watch all the early college football games.
Food is delicious and a good value. I went by myself and the bartender was pleasant, attentive, and not over-bearing. Drinks are a reasonable price too.
The Grizz burger was soooo good. I loved the fried as well. Made a new friend here
