A great Montreal style authentic poutine location! This is a small spot along Edmonton Trail which offers some authentic poutine with noticeably squeaky cheese curds. The taste is great and the portions are generous as well in my opinion. The gravy isn’t exactly what I expected as I’m used to New York Fries’ taste, but it’s still good and the fries themselves are hot and crispy. The curds are chewy and squeaky, which makes the whole thing quite good! The staff were nice and the service was quick overall. Parking can be found at the back of the restaurant, with signs denoting where you should turn after you enter the alley 5-6 spots to park from what I remember. All in all, a solid spot for some tasty poutine!
The pulled pork itself was tasty. The Montreal smoked meat one was bland and weird. The concept is poorly executed. Different types of containers needed for storing fries for takeout. This whole tin thing doesn’t work. I’ve had better poutine from Harvey’s.
The poutine was incredible: fresh cheese, yummy gravy, crispy fries all combined with ample amounts for a party in your mouth! Did I mention that they also make THE BEST BURGER in town? Firm bun, seasoned patty with tasty char, fresh toppings, and oh the secret sauce. My wife had the hot dog and was not disappointed. Big wiener, split and fried to release all the flavour, all served in a brioche bun with ample fresh toppings. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The eat-in is cool, clean, and funky. What are you waiting for? Come make your poutine dreams come true! Try the burger!
Tried Poutinarama today and it was so good! I tried the Poutinarama poutine which is topped with red wine braised beef, sautéed onions, and sautéed peppers. There were tons of squeaky curds, and the beef was delicious. I also tried a steamie which is a steamed hot dog in a steamed bun which was only $4! I chose to get it with the homemade slaw which added a nice acidity to round off the flavour. The owner, who is from Montreal, was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure everything was good.
Ridiculously amazing . The only place you should go for REAL Montreal Poutine ! The cheese curds are so fresh , this is a true Montreal experience here in Calgary . Highly recommend !!!!
True authentic Montreal poutine!! And the burgers are delicious too!! Definitely come in and dine! The place is very clean and the owner and his family are very nice!
Really delicious squeaky poutine and a very flavorful Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. The portions could have been a little bigger but otherwise delicious! The location is very charming and the owner was friendly and cheerful. My only issue with the food is that there wasn't enough of it!Food: 4/5
We checked out Poutinarama during their grand opening weekend and were blown away by how authentic this Montreal poutine is. I ordered the butter chicken poutine gluten free, my husband ordered the poutinarama with braised beef, and our daughter ordered the pulled pork poutine. They were all so different and all incredibly delicious. The beef and pork are slow cooked over 6 hours and the gravies are all made from scratch with real ingredients. They also have burgers, hot dogs, and smoked meat sandwiches on the menu. Locally owned by a Montreal ex-pat. If you love fries and/or poutine, this is a definite must try! Delicious! Went for the Poutinarama with red wine braised beef and it was hands down my favourite. Our party also tried the Butter Chicken, pulled pork and classics. all were good, with very squeaky curds and big portions.
YUM! I had the butter chicken poutine for the first time and it was a winner - spicy gravy, squeaky cheese served over warm fries. The perfect dinner on a cold winter's day. I'll be back! Parking: There's a free parking lot in the back, about 8 spots I think.
