We offer a wide variety of homemade Italian bread, buns, cookies, pastries cakes, pies, pizza and more. All made fresh daily!

Story

Portage Bakery is the oldest and longest family run bakery in Niagara Falls operated by Rosario Barone and his wife Jolantha, children, and grandchildren. Baking daily homemade italian bread, buns, pastries, cookies, cakes and pizza.
We offer a hot table with homemade lasagna, meatballs and more available for eat in or take-out. Or grab a made to order sandwich in our deli that offers a variety of imported Italian meats and cheeses. Finish off your lunch with a cappuccino or espresso from the Barone Cafe.
Also available are a variety of imported Italian grocery items.

Recently much better service but too many disturbing experiences lately. Months ago young man with facial hair carry out unwrapped bread stacked up to his chin to the rack! Saw them drop and unwrapped loaf on the floor, picked up and put back on rack! Got cherry squares couple months ago, rancid! Mentioned to girl, who appeared to be charged, "probably the lard, new bakers", "sorry" bought 4 all bad. Come to NF once a week and usually stop but questionable at times. Today did, bread, hot cross buns and my husband's treat for me, 2 cherry squares. Got home, wow, they look like they came from 2 different places, 1 skinny 1 fat. I give up and the price is ridiculous! Too many strikes!!

Great place! Have a wide selection of treats/desserts. I have also been there for lunch one day and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced as well. Will definitely go again!

Great bread but the shelf and refrigerated items are increadibly OVER PRICED ! ex Italian sausages reg. $6.99 Portage sells $10.99. RIO Tuna reg. $4.99 Portage sells $8.99. I think because of the high price items are also old. Would never buy shelf items there.

I love going to portage bakery. The staff is friendly and delightful. The lasagna, meatballs and sausages taste amazing and they make some kick-ass cannolis. Definitely worth a visit.
