Beautiful, well kept, Phil and his wife are fabulous with the youth.
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a lake/resort! Everyone here is so nice and friendly so much things to do and a very clean atmosphere. To me things don't have to be fancy, we stayed at a cabin by the lake and I loved it! Loved that you could rent boats and other water things here as well. Me being from Texas loved that I could feel safe and comfortable so far away from home!

The staff was extremely helpful. We rented a kayak for the day and camped on the island. It was nice to have Popps resort as a resource and a guide for planning our experience.

Warning!!! These people are crooked business owners!! Take pictures of the damage to your boat before you take it out. We hit a rock on our way in, not marked on the map by the way. In spite of the numerous dents and dings already in the prop, we were required to pay $150 for the small dent we placed on the prop. I'm guessing we weren't the only ones to pay for a new prop, and we won't be the last. Our driver was 60 years old and had been driving a boat since he was a kid. Two others have been driving a boat for 20+ years. We were not novices. They owners told us to keep to the channel and we'd be fine. The rock we hit was not marked in the map and the owners said we were the second group to say that. I'm guessing that group had to pay $150+ for their ding, too. we were not looking to get out of payment for our damage but we know we didn't get a fair price. BUYER BEWARE!!
