Tarragon Motel

The location next to the railroad tracks caused me to wake up several times over the night, because they blow their horn outside your window. That said, almost all of the hotels in town appear to be next door to the train tracks. The building feels incredibly shady, and was a little chilly, but we had no issues other than that. The motel appears family owned, and they were all very courteous and helpful.

Basic non-chain motel. The owners have really worked to upgrade the place. The fridge, microwave and tv were all brand new. At least one room has 3 double beds in it, a nice option for a family. Reasonable rates, quiet.

Clean but cold, the heat was off when we arrived and it took a full day to warm up. Water smells bad.

Left my room after 10 minutes of being in it. Couldn't take the mold smell coming from the window air conditioning unit any longer. The more I looked around the room the more disgusted I became. The bedding was filthy and stained with God knows what ( let's be real we all know what). Went to the lobby and asked for a refund because I wasn't satisfied with the condition of my room. I was told "no refund, leave or I call the cops" . Not looking for a refund anymore, just looking out for other people so they do not get ripped off on a disgusting room or waste their money. The tarragon USE TO BE A GREAT PLACE TO STAY UNTIL NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER . IT HAS GONE DOWN HILL EVER SINCE!!! STAY AWAY AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS PLEASE.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had a fridge and microwave. TV. But the train runs right there and it blows it's whistle. A loud car kept coming and going. But the front desk guy was nice and I could have my dog.
