Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I got food poisoning here in 2007. If this review was written then, it would be 1 star. I loved Popeyes Chicken before that awful event. After 11 years I decided to go back. I was very scared as I still remember being sick and smelling the chicken coming through my pores so many years ago as vividly as if it happened yesterday. Twice I've been back and been reasonably satisfied. The first time I was very relieved not to see the same woman who had served me years ago. Her greasy unclean appearance is burned into my memory as the red flag I ignored on that fateful evening. The first of two times I've been there this year they were out of lettuce. Not a problem, my chicken po' boy was still delicious. The second time I came back and ordered the popcorn shrimp. Delicious, but they forgot to include cocktail sauce which was a horrible realization. I'll probably continue going here on occasion as the chicken is absolutely delicious, but the memories of unwashed hands and mishandled food will forever taint my feelings towards what was once my favorite fried chicken establishment.

The pros: Very good chicken. It is well prepared every time I have it. Popeyes is very consistent. You get the same flavors each time you visit and it is consistent across restaurants. Reasonable prices. They are not the cheapest nor are they the most expensive. The cons: They could use more frequent table cleanings. On a majority of my visits the tables are always full of remnants from the previous user. The crew could get out wipe things down more frequently. I know what to expect and the always deliver.

The Spicy Fried Chicken and the Loaded Cajun Fries were so fresh and tasty! Absolutely love the newness of this location, not to mention its clean atmosphere and look. I will be returning to get my fried chicken here whenever I get that craving! 👍😊

Chicken was pretty good. Biscuits were awesome. The mashed potatoes and gravy really don't seem to fit with the chicken flavorwise. This was my first time at Popeyes ever. They were out of mac and cheese. Way to make a first impression.

It's not worth 20$ for two meals just to have to make sure and check their work so that your possitive that you've got the correct food and everything that you've paid for.
