$12 cheese burger combo! I had the pleasure of visiting Pong's Poutine for the 3rd time while I was in the Carp area last week. Each visit was delicious and food was made promptly. They have a nice seating area if you have time to dine in and you can even pay with debit unlike some other food trucks that haven't got with the times even after this whole covid mess. Staff are quite friendly and seem very organized. My last order was a hot dog combo with a poutine and a drink and came to $9.50 which I find considerably cheap in comparison to others and the poutine was big enough to feed 2 people with small appetites, they use shoestring type fries which I'm not too fond of but that's just a personal preference and won't keep me away since I'm already a fan.
By far this is one of my most favorite poutine spots in Ottawa. Their fries are crispy, pairing with perfect gravy, and of course the squeaky cheese curds. Love their themed poutines too. So so amazing

The fries were so so so crispy and they were thin cut so almost every fry was super crunchy...even after sitting for a few minutes. Gravy wasn't my fave but thats on me...Im weird with gravy My buger was also very good, but found the bun a bit big for my liking but overall tasty! The service was also super great, the cashier was polite and geniune. Will be back for more crispy fries and burgers in the future!
Got the weekly special and a medium poutine. Felt like the special was kind of expensive for a few extra toppings on top of a medium poutine... But the food was delicious, a taste of nachos before returning to a spectacular standard poutine taste. The guy who made my food was kind and clean, and he made sure I had everything I needed before leaving. I'll be back.
EDIT: Recently visited Pong's again and got the medium Stranger Frings Poutine fries and onion rings poutine. The food is as good as ever though prices have gone up because of inflation. Love that they layer the fries/rings, cheese curds and gravy so you get consistent bites. Comes in a clamshell that will barely close. Delicious gravy. Super crispy shoestring fries. Prepared fresh. **** Haven't had a proper poutine in years and this may be the best I've ever had. Love that they use shoestring fries and fried extra crispy to hold up to the cheese and gravy. Gravy is full of flavour and delicious. Curds were melty but still had that rubbery texture in the middle. Value is there too. The medium is quite a large portion with the clamshell barely closing shut.

I don't usually hand out five star reviews for chip trucks, there is usually something I don't like. Maybe this place could be located closer to my house? That's unreasonable though. Back to the review, I feel like this place takes their business seriously, and you can taste it. Please review the included phots as you can see they use a quality bun for their burgers, real cheese curds that perfectly half melted. They use thinly cut fries which I enjoy, that's all personally preference though. the gravy is nice and flavourful without being intrusive. I believe a poutine should be equal parts fries/gravy/cheese all working together and that's what you will find here at Pong's. Back to the bacon cheese burger, again with the quality ingredients. Nice bacon mixed with cheese and other toppings. The patty was definitely home made, some sort of onion and other flavours were noticed, nicely done. To top all this off you can get the bacon cheeseburger combo with a drink for $10 plus tax. I really like that the combo comes in its own box, like a little gift to yourself. Also the staff was really nice and friendly. That's all for now. Happy poutineing everyone. TL;DR Get the bacon cheeseburger combo and thank me later.
Ordered the poutine because I heard it was one of the best in Ottawa. Fries were too dark and had strong grease taste. Gravy too thick for my liking and not enough curds. Serving size for the price was good. Went to Gatineau the next day and got a real poutine.
