I was saying to my kids...this A and W is cold dry food being served by two female cold dry robots...with no common sense or ability to respond to customer needs or the customers experience. If this is the new standard in Canada...oh great...what a joke.  How could a store manager leave these 2 uninspired catatonic people running the restaurant ( Saturday evening)

Too few staff. Long lines and the customer area was filthy. Tables were not wiped and the garbage cans were full. I had to leave my garbage on top with the dirty dishes.

The main door does not have an automatic  door opener button, but a staff member saw us coming with a wheelchair and came out and held the door open for us. The same as we were leaving, a staff member came and opened the door to help us get out. Something I was not expecting but was very grateful for.

pre-cooked food, cold, dry and tasteless ... especially Teen Burgers ... a favorite of mine since the 60s ... breakfast is ok ...

I was at this A&W about forty minutes ago to order a veggie burger. The staff refused our custom, saying that they had 'just cleaned the grill' and would not be able to make our order. As I write this review, the store is still open.

It seems that either it is the restaurant's policy to shutdown the grill almost an hour before closing, or that their staff cannot be bothered to serve customers while the store is still open. In either case, I was sorely disappointed tonight and I don't think I will be returning, regardless of the time of day.
