I would say 4 stars. Though this amusement park has lots of fun rides for all ages. There is one thing that has been bothering me and a lot of other people. The Ridiculous Prices. I mean come on, the entrance fee is expensive enough, and that doesn't include ride tickets/ride wristband, food, and drinks. If you have a large group, everyone might spend an average of about $450-$800

To be honest, this is one of best best amusement parks out there. It has many different rides and food places. It is very well organized and I would definetly go again! The only slight, but not major problem are the prices, around 45 dollars per person, but it is worth it. You get to spend a whole day at the fair if you purchase the passes, or purchase the wristbands there. Tickets are the best way to spend your day, unless you plan to only go on a couple tides and not spend you time there for the whole day. Buying the passes for a store sure saves you a couple bucks, for example, I got my passes from 7-Eleven, they had a bunch of options. You can also buy them from Save on Foods, Price Smart Foods, Safeway and a bunch of other places. Overall, I would 100% come back!

I remember when I was a young kid every year a rumor would circulate that Playland was going to move far away like Abbotsford or shut down and turn into a normal park with manual swings. As a young kid that false rumour would scare me because I loved Playland that much. I think it was a ploy to get people to go there because we would think it's the last year. Now with age I realize the place is kind of a dump. A severely overpriced one. The main attraction is a super old roller coaster that should only be famous because the government allows this dangerous death trap to continue running. The wild mouse which has been shut down is probably one of the scariest rides I've ever been on only because it felt like it will falter at any moment. Despite all this I still go basically every year and even get the ride pass and get ripped off on food that doesn't even taste good.

Visited Playland. It's your typical "cheesy carnival" looking type park. The rides are old, dirty and some are very jerky. There are only two bathrooms in the whole park with three stalls each. They also charge extra to go in the haunted house! $5.50 a person. If you're visiting Vancouver, check it out if you like rides, but be warned that you will be waiting a very long time for the bathroom. Glad I checked it out, but I will not return to this fair. It's really nothing special.

Fun, nice to go every year, but prices are high. 45 bucks for my 8 year old to ride for the day. Some of the food is great (BBQ) but places like the roast chicken.....skinny little leg/thigh 1/4 for 7 bucks. Still, it's once a year and is a good event.
