Pita Pit
"With more than 20 pita fillings & 40 toppings to pick from, Pita Pit offers you millions of flavour combinations. Pita Pit was at the forefront of the growing “fresh and healthy” eating revolution, when we opened the first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario near Queen’s University back in 1995. Pita Pit delivered what students, families and young professionals wanted but couldn’t find nearby; an affordable yet great-tasting fresh and healthy alternative to high-fat and high-carb fast food."

This place tops the charts for absolutely terrible food, and worst off the rudest staff ive ever encountered! Ordered 2 small buffalo chicken pitas and they hide what they are giving you, we left and opened it up and the things were half the size of a pizza pop for $13. Took one bite and found it disgusting as well, went back in to complain and ask for a refund and the 2 ignorant women that shouldn't even be allowed to work in the food industry spit at me and told me "that's business" LOL. Excuse me but business nowadays means you satisfy your customers with great service and a great product. Haha have fun losers! Hire people that care for your business, not ones that are literally going to derail the place! So mad with how my wife and I were spoken to today, we have never in our life had such a bad interaction with such a simple thing as getting lunch. In the end they refused refund and they took our food and threw it out and offered nothing! That's pretty much theft, they gained $26! We were still hungry and blown away by the interaction with 2 young kids wondering what was going on. Of course we had to look after the dust settled and found that you have the worst reviews. Proves to us that checking reviews is very important before using a business for anything nowadays WOW! Absolutely unbelievable and still fuming from this!
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. We just ordered Uber eats and it was the worst pita I've ever seen in my life. How they packaged it and gave it to us is beyond me. First off, the pita was hard, like it had been sitting out for days.. something you would throw out because you can't even possibly open it up properly from being so crusted. I assume because of this old, crusted pita they had difficulty actually filling it properly.. the pita was wrapped in a way that I thought it was two pitas at first like one wrapped in another, just for me to find out the pita wasn't completely opened when they made it. Maybe a third or less was actually opened and stuffed with fillings then they attempted to wrap this crusted, unopened pita so obviously it didn't work out and both ends were opened so the food was pouring out of it. It was almost like it was a after thought that they needed to wrap it. Inside the pita was also concerning.. the meat was not warm not sure if they even cooked it and my chicken had something all over it it may have been seasoning, but it sort of looked like mold because it was a green colour. My fiancé's pita was not toasted we specifically asked for his to be and it even showed on the receipt that we requested this and his meat was actually cold, so his was definitely not cooked. I was honestly baffled that they actually gave us this food in this condition and that we paid money for this. To my regret, I had a few bites because I was so hungry this was before I realized my fiancé's pita was also in the same condition and now I'm seriously concerned that this place is not up to code and I'm going to get food poisoning from improper handling. I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped food on the floor, picked it up and stuffed it in the pita. I'm not sure if they make all pitas this way or the worker was having a bad day, but it was unacceptable. We did order close to closing time, but that doesn't give them the right to prepare awful pitas with the oldest, most stale bits of food they have. I would give them negative stars as they should have to pay people to eat this garbage. If a health inspector is reading this, please shut them down.
WORST pita pit I have ever been to. and I have been going to pita pit for YEARS about once a week. After paying the manager working there informed me that they had no guac, no hummus, and missing a few other ingredients. I said whatever and let him make my pita, but thats something you tell me BEFORE I pay. Anyways he clearly tried to put in as little ingredients and possible and when he was wrapping my pita he broke it. Since I wasn't looking he gave me the broken pita in a box. so when I opened the box, the entire pita was broken and ingredients were all over the box. I went back in, and the manager got aggressive and almost refused to do it. NEVER supporting this guy even though pita pit is my favourite fast food place.
Worst PitaPit I’ve ever been to. I was a bit worried with the lower rating, but didn’t want to drive further. Service speed was verrrry slow. Both our pitas were horribly uneven. All the toppings were on one side with way too much sauce, and the meat was pretty much on the other side with just lettuce and minimal sauce. The chicken ceasar was awful. Full of dark gross rotisserie chicken. I was expecting chunks lile the Pita Pit in Red Deer. It was really gross meat!!! Especially without sauce! Won’t be back here again. There was also an older guy in the back just staring at people until I stared back at him and he moved away. The atmosphere is really quiet and uncomfortable!
Honestly I don’t normally rate places but this pita pit was the worst experience I’ve had. They had no rice, no lettuce, no sprouts and we wanted the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and no cheesecake… they probably didn’t want to refill the vegetables for the evening. I’m curious how I could have a salad bowl when they had no lettuce like they offered me? They didn’t ask if we wanted out pita grilled and were too busy talking amongst themselves to ask. The pitas were so poorly put together that they fell apart. I’ve worked for pita pit before and I have never seen it look like this and it definitely wasn’t worth the $50 I spent on three pitas. It’s unfortunate really
Had yet another extremely negative experience at Pita Pit in Lincoln Park/Mount Royal. Despite their advertised closing time of 8 PM, when I arrived at 7:20 PM, the door was already locked. I tried to get their attention by looking through the window and by phoning their listed number, but to no avail. This is not the first time I've encountered such unprofessional behavior at this establishment. On a previous occasion, I was fortunate that they decided to stay open, but the staff's attitude was simply appalling. They were unfriendly, rude, and seemed bothered by my presence as if I were inconveniencing them during their supposedly normal business hours. The inconsistent hours and unpleasant encounters with the staff have left me with a highly negative impression. I sincerely hope they address these issues to provide a more reliable and welcoming service to their customers.
Toasted and yet cold 15 dollars for what looks like a smalls size shawarma anywhere else. It was mostly vegetables and sauce more then meat. By the time is get to meat you’ve basically ate a salad.Food: 1/5
The worst Pita Pit experience I’ve ever had. Couldn’t eat 1/2 of it without falling apart due to poor wrapping/tearing as well as way too much sauce. Didn’t have regular Swiss cheese, small sized cups for smoothies only the large ones…how convenient. The wrapper didn’t have the pita pit logo so it just seemed like all around, this location is cutting corners for cost savings and it’s evident! Go to Airdrie if you want a decent pita.
Received a gross pita with toppings missing and spoiled lettuce. Will never go back
Well I guess I’m adding another terrible review for this place. Ordered through Uber eats. It was very expensive for tiny portions. They didn’t follow any of the instructions, put a random sauce on my daughter’s rice bowl, and everything was poorly made. Veggies looked old and wilted, pitas fell apart. The food took 90 minutes to get here despite being less than 5k away and even with all that time to prepare the order, it was a mess. Avoid this place!!!
