Pioneer Transmission and General Repair

I was referred to Pioneer to help fix my car’s transmission. Don at Pioneer was such a pleasure to deal with. He knew I needed the car before I was going out of town and made sure I got it in time. Super pleased with this shop. I called during the week after Christmas when so many other shops were closed. They were so accommodating with letting me have my car towed there right away to fit me in as soon as they could I didn't need it back for several days so this was great for me. Thankfully I didn't need a new transmission, just anti-squirrel spray and some new wiring. They repaired my car really quickly and the cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Don and the team @ pionneer are great guys! Called them around 3 pm the other day and they got my vehicle in first thing rhe next morning, diagnosed it and repaired it all in the same day! Don tried the cheapest fix option first and fully explained it was a gamble but worth a shot. Lo and behold the fix worked and I'm back on the road for a very reasonable cost! Don has been great. My van has a rebuilt transmission and he has rebuilt two trucks from work. All good so far. I currently am working with Don on my stalling while idling problem.

I brought my 07 Mustang GT in for an intermittent transmission problem. The problem could not be reproduced at the shop but after a long discussion we decided a transmission replacement was my best option. Pioneer did a fantastic job finding a transmission and the replacement transmission works flawlessly. My Mustang is fun to drive again! Thanks Don and everyone at Pioneer.Service: Transmission

Please view my other reviews, I don't make negative reviews often or lightly. Let that speak volumes about the ones I do leave. Pioneer transmission turned me away without a quote. They claimed liability issues due to the condition of my vehicle. Unfortunately, it was obvious the shop was simply too busy and picking the clean easy work. They won't always be this busy so hopefully they wear this review well in the slow times. They were perfectly OK with me driving a vehicle with a blown brake line after it was brought to their shop to repair. Even after I told them my hoist was a 3 hour drive away, they wouldn't even quote it. The shop manager pulled my truck with blown brake line up front, knowing I was going to leave, not even quoting the job....this shop knew the risks of me leaving without fully functional brakes. I was personally OK with the risk I believe the vehicle is in better shape then they do apparently, photo for reference But, For a shop to claim liability concerns and then watch what they claim is "a dangerous or undrivable vehicle" drive away shows this shops true colors and lack of real world ethics. Mechanic showed me a second line that will need repair in the future and bodywork as the reasons they wouldn't work on it. So, instead of quoting both lines they decided they didn't even want to work on it. The BS these Mechanics tried to tell me on the phone was almost insulting. For the typical vehicle owner these guys said all the right things. Unfortunately for them I do all my own work usually and know their job very well. They even tried lying to me assuming I wasn't as knowledgeable as I am. They could have sent me off with a fixed line and safe vehicle and profited off me. I would have paid whatever they asked and I had already waited a week. They didn't even offer or suggest a tow. If it was in such bad shape you would think they would have tried. Vehicle sat at this shop for 1 week before they decided they wouldn't even quote it. Do yourself a favor and find another shop. Especially if it's transmission work, you don't want people of these ethics working on your transmission, the second most expensive part of your car. Take it from a Joe Blow who Know's and Go see Mike at Mister Transmission on Highland, he's good people. I wish he was the closest shop to me. I mean unless your hungry for BS and a waste of time, then by all means use these jokers. Poor show Pioneer. Be Better. You can save your time responding Pioneer, for what it's worth we all know now that your language of choice is BS anyway. Tons of Mechanics in KW, don't risk your money here.

I came to Don at Pioneer Transmission with a diagnosis from Simmons-Rockwell Ford that indicated a faulty transmission. initially I went to the Ford dealer complaining about a leaking transmission line and shuddering from the engine, I was told that I needed 6 new spark plugs and a new transmission line. I could not get the line fixed in time to get back to Canada so I had to forgo the fix and just went with spark plugs since the leak was only a drip. The dealership replaced the spark plugs, and then the vehicle was running even worse than before. The truck was shaking violently, and now the transmission line was steadily leaking fluid out the bottom of the truck. The dealership told me the transmission was permanently damaged and needed replacing. I limped back to Canada and took the truck to Pioneer Transmission After looking at the truck and diagnosing the issues, Don quickly realized that the transmission had nothing to do with the shuddering and shaking coming from the engine. He found that 2 cylinders were misfiring so he ordered 2 new ignition coils since I just had 6 new plugs put in. The problem persisted so Don check the 2 spark plugs that Ford installed brand new and he discovered that they were severely damaged. DON RETURNED THE IGNITION COILS AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THEM! Don got my truck patched up with new lines installed, 2 new spark plugs, diagnostics and no messing around. The price I paid to have this work done was the same price I paid Ford to install new spark plugs. Pioneer could have told me that I needed a rebuild and I would have believed them. This guy is incredibly honest, quick and easy to talk to. He works hard and has a good team of mechanics. I am happy to have found a guy like Don Thanks!

Definitely had a good experience. I took one of my vehicles there for service. I knew the transmission was probably done in. The staff were personable, easy to talk to. Gave me a couple options with no pressure. I got the vehicle back in no time and it's running great. Well done Pioneer Transmission.

I found this garage to be friendly ,honest and fair priced . Fixed what needed to be fixed and didn't look for more issues ,which l'm sure they could on my 2013 car . As l use my car for working in the community l was very lucky to get in for a repair the day after my car engine started to make scary noises .Also new l had a possible pot hole damage issue They replaced my serpentine belt ,noise gone and bad ball joint ,now runs smoothly over the bumps again . Next day l had an issue with orange warning light coming on ,cars are weird, something to do with a speed sensor around the ball joint . So at the end of day on a Friday they sorted it for me .l was working over the weekend ,so very thankful for their help and smooth running car again .l would recommend this garageService: General repairs & maintenance

Called this place for pricing to replace the seals on my auto transmission. As i had already pulled the trans out, the price was alot better. Dropped the unit off on Friday and got the call to come pick up Tuesday- was expecting longer as every shop seems super busy right now. Super friendly and efficient service, quote over the phone was within a few bucks of actual cost. The tech I was speaking to even offered some great tips for a successful install unprompted. Will return for more work!
