We had a wonderful 5 day stay in one of the wilderness camp sites. The tree coverage made it feel truly isolated. The view of the lake from their boat dock is stunning. The staff is helpful and friendly. Renting a canoe it's a must and they make it very easy.

This is a very nice campground with excellent amenities. On balance, we would probably come back.
Pros
- direct lake access (beautiful lake to swim, boat, kayak, canoe, etc)
- a very open and free attitude with few rules (unlike provincial parks). Nobody will be upset if you talk a walk with a beer or glass of wine
- very pleasant and helpful staff members
- awesome store with everything you might need
- boat/canoe rentals
- proximity to Algonquin
- boat launch
Cons
- the non-seasonal overnight camping sites are located along the "main drag" from the road to the store. This results in literally hundreds of people going by on motorized (loud) golf carts throughout the entire day. It seems like few people walk anywhere here - it is all golf cart, all the time. Often these are kids just going round and round for kicks.
- the dump station is not level, resulting in the inability to completely drain tanks
- the water/electrical sites are quite close together and the posts seem placed without coherence (our post had only one electrical connection which was used - luckily I had a long 30a extension)
- a bit pricey

Fun in the sun or snow, it's fabulous all year round from wilderness camping to cozy cottages. I came with the intent of parking my trailer a couple of years and after 5 years, there is nowhere I would rather be. The park itself is filled with wonderful people, now more like family and there is always something to do. The Algonquin experience never grows old whether you take it by foot, bike, boat, or by horse. For those who enjoy their toys, traverse the trails by snowmobile or 4-wheeler or the linked lakes in whatever your watercraft.

One of the best private campgrounds I have been able to find. Price is great, canoe/boat rentals, High Falls close by, Pine Grove Point has it all. Friendly staff, great facilities you truly cannot go wrong with this campground. Essential to use as a base camp to further explore southern Algonquin!
