went to the camp on a class trip the camp was cozy and the activities seemed endless. there was mixed opinions on the food however my opinion is that the food was very plain. the staff where strict with the rules but always had a smile on their face. The staff managed the cabins well and knew how to control kids and still have them leave with a smile on their face. one of the staff Ash was overall a amazing person and made the trip as fun as it can be
Camp is poorly managed and abusive to staff. Purposefully underbite assuming staff will do much more then they’re paid for and even under pays consistently. I would never send my kid here and absolutely wouldn’t work here. Also, culture is very frat-esc
Very satisfied of my trip. Counselors were amazing and friendly. All staff. Food is also satisfactory and delicious. Cabins are very small but cozy would reccomend!
All the grades 7's from my elementary school went to camp kandalore in 2006 for a few days for a school trip. I'm now almost 30 years old and its still one of the best memories from my life so far, even though it was only a mere few days long. Thank you for all that you guys do.
I cannot speak to the camping experience as I was just visiting. From what I saw it is in good repair, well spaced out and has a great waterfront.
I am one fussy Grandma with one precious 8 year old granddaughter who just completed a week at Kandalore. It was the most wonderful experience with new skills, experiences and friends. The site is outstanding, the activities wonderful and the staff exceptional - skilled and caring. You could not ask for a better camp experience.
This is such an amazing and enriching place. The staff and counsellors are caring and supportive while allowing the kids to explore and grow. Janice, the camp director leads by example the professionalism and values for each and every member of the camp. My daughter needed to be evacuated during her explorer trip in Northern Ontario due to an injury and the evacuation team ran like clockwork to make sure she was safe with three flights to get her home including a float plane. It is not a 'spa' for kids but one that teaches them to be one with nature and leadership skills.
I went to this camp on a Grade 6 field trip in the winter and I have such fond memories of my time there! It really built my confidence and I learned about winter activities that I might enjoy now as an adult.
Good cabins and great experience
I was lucky enough to take my students to Kandalore for years - teaching younger grades now, one of the things I miss the most is the fall Kandalore trip! Wonderful atmosphere, incredible staff, great food! Thank you to the staff for making this place a possibility!
