It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but the memory of my meal here is still vivid. The only place where I’ve seen blue crab on the menu - and done right! Such a unique dish.
Omg new menu is so awesome! Just picked up for mother’s day treat and it is so yummy and well presented! Price is surprisingly cheap for the meal.. wow.. and they are celebrating 10th year! Even got a bbq meat for free cause I got more than $40 hehe!! I love it! Yummmmmm~
First time here after reopen. Was a bit worried on social distancing before on Korean BBQ, but now totally relieved. Excellent arrangement and seats are properly separated. Great customer service, except you have to wait patiently at front desk, they are a bit slow. Meat is fresh and juicey and tofu is also one of my favourite. Overall experience satisfactory!
The cute pig symbol intrigued us and the great reviews added to it. Do get a reservation, it took us about 30mins to be seated. The waiting was worth it. The servers are friendly and the service is Swift. We got the army stew, potato pancakes and the peach soju twist. It was a lot of good for two people, we ended up taking the pancake home. The stew was nice and spicy the sausages and spam were ok and the next time I will opt for one of the other stews though. The pancake was cooked very well but needed the sauce as it was bland. The sides were delicious, the best kimchi I have had yet. I like mine slightly spicy. About $55 for 2 people was decent we could not even breathe was how much we overate. The soju is a must try. And I am going to try the BBQ next time we are there. Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Vfm:4/5
Really like the pork belly and pork neck with the sauce, highly recommended! Beef is not that surprising compare to the pork. Overall experience is quite good, a bit overpriced.
This restaurant has been renovated with good equipment for table BBQ with gas stove + charcoal for extra flavor. The meat is very fresh, veggies are clean and the side dishes are good. However, they are not marinated. The service is regular and it’s a bit pricey.
Food was delicious and great service too! Love the ambience of the place. We went for a Sunday lunch and it wasnt too busy. I loved they cabbage wrap and the steamed egg fried rice! So good! They ran out of pork bone soup that day which we wanted to order but overall it was really good!
I went right as restaurants were starting to reopen as covid restrictions are easing up a bit. Currently they are serving outside on a patio setup on part of the parking lot, which is brilliant. We got the spicy chicken feet, the cold noodles in broth, and for barbeque we got the pork neck, beef prime rib and beef marinated short ribs. The chicken feet were quite spicy but not in a bad way, it made you keep wanting more. The cold noodle broth was very light and was perfect for this hot summer day. The cuts of meat were perfect for barbeque, this was one of the only places I've been to that used charcoal for the barbeque instead of propane so the flavour was phenomenal. The marinated short ribs had the right amount of sweetness that you'd expect from LA Galbi. Great experience overall, would recommend making reservations as it is very busy.
Authentic Korean food in Thornhill! Our party of six consisting of three adults and three children arrived at 5:20pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately, and lucky we got there early, because when we left an hour later it got so busy. The restaurant looks roomy but the booth type seating areas felt tight. For more leg room there I saw seats in the back corner with movable benches, and also two tables with chairs. We ordered Kalbi short ribs, Squid Bibimbap, three marinated beef Korean BBQ style, and got all the side dishes including this Korean pancake that looks like a small pizza, filled red peppers, red onions, and squid! The first two marinated beef was good, sliced adequately, and not too sweet for me. The third order, which was a garlic beef, was a little chewy for me, a different texture then the first two. The Kalbi was good, my son really enjoys eating this when we go to a Korean restaurant. The Bibimbap was a mixture of sweet and hot. The food overall was good, but the portions of Korean BBQ meat I thought were small. Please note that you are required to order “two marinated beef” as a minimum order for Korean BBQ, as I understand it. Each order of the beef was $34. The service was great, the servers cook the meat for you and replace the grill as it turns black. What was an eyesore for me was pop drinks, I believe it was, stacked at the front of the store in the eating area. It looked to be blocking another door, perhaps a fire exit door? Good place to meet with friends, but get ready to pay as it can be costly.
First time here with friends for my birthday. Loved it! Food was served fresh and was delicious. Great family or hanging out with friends atmosphere. I wanted to experience a real authentic Korean barbecue restaurant where you get to grill your food yourself. It was fun and entertaining. Open free parking lot. Looking at restaurants with a different pair of eyes after this experience where food is eaten hot not warm because you get to make it meat and vegetables. I ordered the tofu vegetable bowl served steaming hot. Wow. This is the way to eat your food with an interactive flair. I loved it! The whole experience was so much fun to eat with friends, sharing the food I cooked I insisted on doing it of course, I was like a kid in the candy store. It did not take long to burn some of it, it cooks quickly. Great first experience and looking forward to doing more of this. Life is Good! :
