I ordered this from Ubereats and surprised it was not recommended to me before! The chicken was bland but the crispy coating was so light and thin, coated perfectly in their red sauce. I wish it was a bit more salty but it's probably because I enjoy stronger flavors. The onion chicken was also fried perfectly crispy and the sauce was stored on the side. I don't recommend the shake fries. They were $4 for a small amount and it came with a cheese powder to shake them in. The reason why they don't get full stars is because the picked radish is not included. You have to pay $1 for them but most places give it to you with the chicken. Despite it all they did throw-in a free coke so I am grateful for that! I do recommend and would order again :
Sweet spicy flavour is very close to authentic Korean style. No cinnamon flavour that commonly other restaurants added. Snow cheese is very tasty too. Quantity is smaller than other restaurants but fairly cheaper.
Another great place doing things right as I haven’t had Korean Style Fried Chicken many times but the times I have I always enjoyed it and this place was no exception. We ordered a full size of the Original Chicken half Bone in and half Boneless so we could try it all ways and I’d say that was a smart choice as well as ordering 4 of their sauces on the side to dip and try and see what we liked best for next time. The Original chicken was tasty, cooked well with a pretty good basic seasoning and had a nice crunch as well. Both versions of Bone in and Boneless were great but we found that the Bone in Chicken had a bit of a nicer flavour and crunch but either or are a good choice all depending on what you like. The Korean Style Sauces are what make this chicken different and they have some nice choices. We tried 4 different ones and all were nice but our favourites are ranked in this order if it helps you at all in making your own choices one day. The Haek Buldak was our fave that had a slight spice to it, then the Yangyeom was next that was more sweet than spicy followed by the Padak that had a nice sweet mustard flavour and then finally the Soy Garlic was nice too but a tad watery where the others were nice and sticky. The pickled radish was ok to try something different but nothing to write home about. Overall we had a great first experience and will return again one day to try the sauce on the Chicken and the Cheese flavour as well as that seems pretty unique. Give them a try one day as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too
NEW KFC SPOT! They’re finally here! This popular Korean fried chicken chain from British Columbia recently opened its first Ontario location in Thornhill, and it’s worth a visit! They’ve got bone-in and boneless chicken that is flavoured with ingredients imported from Korea! Believe me when I say it was tasty, juicy, and crispy Here is what we tried out: Padak Padak Cheese Snow Yangyeom Soy Garlic My favorite had to be a tie between the Cheese Snow which had a similar taste to Kraft dinner cheese love!, and the Soy Garlic which had the perfect balance of both flavours. If you’re looking for a slight kick, go for the Yangyeom, and if you prefer something sweet, tangy, and oniony, try the Padak Padak. You really can’t go wrong with any to be honest!
This place was pretty close to authentic Korean chicken. The sauce was on the sweeter side but still good. I wish they provided more pickled radish and cut it a bit larger. Staff was friendly.
Loved their fried chicken, not greasy at all! Ordered half original and half cheese, both were tasty and fresh. Food came with a pop and pickled radish. Staff was nice.
3.5 Just found about this place and their chicken is ver close to korean chicken. The chicken was very crunchy and the price was very affordable. One half & half is enough for 2 people. Their buldak is good but I was expecting a bit more spice. However, I think they used Brazilian chicken thighs for deboned options, which is fine but they didn't really trim off the fat making it too greasy. Furthermore, the garlic soy sauce was a disappointment, we couldn't feel the flavor of garlic or soy it was just sweet. And it would have been better if they served it with fried garlic chops for decor. Their pickle tastes good but they chop it too small which makes it not as refreshing as it should be. Their fries could have been better if they seasoned it with some more salt or some kind of spice. But overall the chicken was good. I would revisit this place again.
Got the chance to try their fried chicken and with new spots, I jump at the opportunity! One of the owners that help out, James, is a super chill guy and really awesome to talk to! Gave me a little insight into how the chicken is made to ensure the taste is always consistent! Just amazing to see that! As well, they import all the ingredients from Korea and the chicken itself, is locally sourced and fresh, never frozen! The taste is just amazing! The fresh never frozen concept and how the chicken is prepared can truly be tasted! It was super tender and the chicken was just juicy! Tried 4 flavours including padak padak, yangyeom, soy garlic and cheese snow. And let me mention that including the drive home, pics and a pit stop, the crunch was still there! They also have a couple of super spicy flavours of buldak which I totally wanna try now! Great new amazing spot, and they truly want to strive and do better! They take reviews and see how to better themselves to ensure high quality! Love that! Service is awesome and taste and quality can be felt through that as well! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics and more amazing content!
Chicken was nice but if you are eating inside, you have to expect to wait an hour to eat. They prioritize takeouts and I had to wait over an hour. Also I ordered boneless and got bone in when I ordered take out. I only found out when I got home. The bone in chicken was way too bulky to eat. It was very uncomfortable. Furthermore, we ordered honey garlic and repeated the order twice, and even emphasized that we wanted honey garlic and not soy garlic and they said okay. But we ended up with bone in soy garlic. Please pay attention to the orders next time
Another nice Korean fried chicken located in mid town. I was debating between bbq.chicken vs. trying out this one and I made a good choice. I ordered half original and half soy honey chicken, quality and taste are good and it’s definitely better value than bbq.chicken, the best thing is there isn’t an after taste lingering in the mouth so I like it!
