Phoenix Buffet

Had an amazing experience here. I though this buffet was great, and it was only $18 at lunch. I really like the fried chicken wings, beef tripe and all the dimsum. The service was even better than the food, our table was cleared regularly and quickly. The employees here were all so pleasant as well. I can't wait to come back!

Fantastic! We were there for lunch on a sunday. A good selection on the buffet at a very reasonable price. They told me lunch during Monday to Friday was even a lower price. Salads, pizza, fries, onion rings, fried chicken as well as the typical Chinese food. The ginger beef was amazing, just a bit of a "zing". Broccoli was cooked to perfection. Didn't try the dim sum. Hubby said won ton soup was good as well as the pepper beef and beef and broccoli. I enjoyed the salad bar. Coleslaw was yummy. The chicken balls had too much batter and the spring rolls weren't deep fried long enough for my taste. Vermicelli and the thick noodles were good. Amazing choices of desserts, all kept in a cooler. Why don't other places do this?? Ice cream choices were cherry, something with sprinkles, rainbow and several others. I liked it wasn't typical chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I enjoyed the desserts I tried. The tarts had great insides but too much pastry, Nanaimo bars were typical, the coffee tasting one was real good as was the one with caramel. There's not an over abundance of items, which is good. Too many choices can be a bad thing as they tend to sit too long. Items here were all fresh and replaced often. Didn't get that "sat under the heat lamp forever" taste. There is something for almost everyone here. Decor is pleasant. Establishment and washrooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful. One of the few restaurants where I witnessed them getting along and working as a team. Nice for a change. Keep that up! I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!! As a side note they do offer take out for buffet prices.

There were lots to choose from, but the food was bland, with the exception of the bbq items. The desserts were meh. Food definitely doesn't meet the 25.00 an adult price point. The service was great, however, and the design was cool, but there was dust on the ceiling, seats, and the chairs peeling and ripped. When paying the young man at the till informed me they had just hired a bunch of new people and were trying to work out the kinks. I would be willing to try it again in the future.

Very nice place to eat all you can Chinese resto, all food is fresh, hot & delicious, but one thing that need to pay attention - the chairs, need to be change.

Wor Wonton is DISGUSTING! Covered in a slimy sauce .... no fresh vegetables! Called to discuss and the owner was talking over me wouldn't listen to me or let me talk VERY RUDE! Don't waste your money!!

We were here at 5:30 pm on a Sunday night with a family of 4 and were disappointed. The booth and chairs are all peeling big chunks of imitation vinyl, despite having recently undergone a renovation? Most food items had very little supply. The soft serve ice cream machine was broken and there were very few deserts left on mostly empty trays and only 2 tubs of ice cream had a bit left on the bottom. definitely not like the website pictures. Food quality and preparation was poor on several items. Some of the battered food items were undercooked and batter was gummy. marked lemon chicken and was shrimp inside. The staff were very attentive and kind but we definitely did not get good value for money. $25/person i believe? I felt unwell afterwards and will definitely not go back. If you're going here for a meal look at the buffet first before agreeing to buy so you know what you are getting.

The food was good and the place, but there’s this two staff that is giving us attitude. I feel like we are disturbing them if i’m gonna be honest. We don’t feel like eating here anymore. Kudos to the other girl who gave us a good service! please give your staffs proper training with customers!! They don’t even know how to say “thank you, you’re welcome”, etc they come and go with an annoyed face it’s so disrespectful, we gave them tip still because we knew how tiring their job can be just to show we appreciate their efforts yet they didn’t even respond.. or even appreciate it. Sorry but yes your staff ruined our day : just saying. Just a little advice “ quit if you don’t like your job. Stop ruining other people’s day!!”

For as much steam that was coming from the tables, our food was lukewarm at best. Plus alot of it didn't seem to have much flavor! The atmosphere was nice and the service staff were quick to the tables and making sure we had water.Food: 2/5

One of the best buffet places in Red Deer! We and our friends/family always order Chinese food takeout here as the servings are always huge, the ingredients fresh and the dishes have that distinct Chinese spicy, smoky aroma that we so love!!! Feels like we are in a Hong Kong street lined with Chinese eateries. We love to dine here as well before the covid19 pandemic happened early 2020, now we just regularly order takeout for special occasions. Our regular orders are shrimp, fried calamaris, steamed shrimp dumplings, beef broccoli, fried chicken and fried rice. Try as well their noodles, it's so good!!! We can't wait for the pandemic to end so we can eat here again.
