I wanted some Pho and I've been to Pho kings Alberta Avenue location a few times, so I figured I'd check out their capilano location. Did my usual drop in for a late lunch, the place was mostly empty. Staff were nice and the place is a fair size as a lot of Pho places are pretty small. I went with a vietnamese coffee and I think this was the weakest part of the meal. The coffee just wasn't good, like watered down tasting,. The pork dumplings/gyoza were nice and i enjoyed those. The Pho was solid, tasty, lots of meat and enjoyable. I only give them 4 stars as the coffee was disappointing. Vegetarian options: You can get the pho without meat but i don't know if they have a broth for the soup that's vegatarian. Dietary restrictions: You should enjoy meat and noodles, or go elsewhere. Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: Families welcome. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.
The staff is nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is bright and the restaurant seems very clean. I ordered a medium Pho Dac Biet, and it was so good. For a medium it was a good portion and their was lots of meat, at other pho places ive been to lately it seems like you get more noodles than meat, not here, there was plenty of meat! So, very good value for your money. I would definitely eat here again and recommend this place to others. Parking: Lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Bright and inviting place, lots of kids in the resturant.

Are you Pho-King kidding me? Affordable pricing but Delicious and BIG PORTION Viet Foods. Honestly, you could pick anything on the menu yet they won't disappoint you. Green Onion Cake was crispy and not tough, plus the sweet chilli sauce, A good appetizer! $4.5 only King Special Pho Large $14.95, LOTS OF MEATS and I didnt get thirsty after drinking the Beef Broth. Grill Pork & Spring Rolls $15.95 the lemongrass flavour kicks in real fast to show them spending time to marinate their meat. They also grilled the meat to give that smoky flavour and tendering texture. Well done! Peanut in a container was a nice touch for those who had an allergy. Give their Iced Coffee a try! They're using Café du Monde Coffee ground. Café du Monde contains both coffee and chicory coffee from Vietnam never contains chicory, but their French-style roast became popular with the early Vietnamese immigrants because, when compared to the American coffee available, it was the closest they could find to Vietnamese-grown coffee. A family-owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant since 2010. Their son, Jimmy, has been in the family business since he was a teenager. He started as a dishwasher and worked his way to cook/restaurant manager. He plans to continue to run the family business. Two locations in Edmonton now!
I stopped by this restaurant for lunch recently. The restaurant has a nice decor and service was decent. In terms of food, I tried their Large P1 - King Special Pho. It had a good amount of noodles and assortment of beef rare steak, brisket, meat ball, tripes, and tendon, decent broth, and it was overall a pretty good value.

Customer WiFi: Washrooms: yes Power outlets: Pet friendly: no Parking: free parking lot Food/Drinks: a little confused because I ordered both the beef and chicken satay soup noodles and they were vastly different one being super thick and the other just like water. Both were pretty good flavor wise just confusing. Service: pretty hands off service. Get you what you need then they leave you alone. Fairly friendly interactions thou. Atmosphere: very open and vibrant modern space. The windows along the side walkway are a nice space to sit other than it being really cold in the winter. Lovely modern restaurant, great staff, excellent food. I eat a lot of Vietnamese food, and this spot is a new favourite. They make one of the best Satay Beef Noodle Soups in the city.
Make the time to enjoy soup from here. Not my first and not my last time hitting up Pho King. I love how clean and fresh the indoor dining is. All the hot sauces, one time chopstix and such on the tables. No crusty hot sauce spouts here! If you know. You know! I've only had the pleasure of trying the soup to which is bomb. The regular is the perfect amount for me. I usually end up finishing it, from the beef to the noodles and even the broth. They also have lrg and XL. Carefully read the soup menu if your getting a specialty soup, as some use different noodles. My server the first time I went informed me upon getting the spicy pho. So happy he did! I have yet to enjoy a verm bowl so I can't speak on that. As for the dumplings options of pork or chicken, they were not a highlight for me. Which is ok. Green onion cakes you cannot go wrong. Made fresh to order. All and all I will continue to dine/take out from Pho King!
Really tasty! Lovely at lunch during the week. Nice bright and clean! Food came pretty quickly and was perfect for a networking lunch. Wish I took a picture, but I was pretty hungry.
