It was delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine! We had a Seafood special noodle and Wonton soup. All the ingredients are fresh, tasty, and original! The quantity of the Seafood noodle was huge. It was enough for two people! The restaurant was spacious and clean! And the service was quick and great. Definitely will come back. Highly recommended.
Amazing place with great tasting food. Everything we tried was full of flavour and like everyone mentioned, LARGE portions. Highly recommend!
We came here on recommendations by another Vietnamese person, so we thought it should meet authentic standards. The restaurant was decently busy with staff moving about. We got a pho and a vermicelli bowl. Both were tasty and delicious. I really liked how crispy the spring rolls were.
I ordered the Pho Satay Beef noodle soup. This was awful. Veggies came with mould spots, broccoli was obviously yellow and spoiled. Meat smelled foul and sour.
So clean and relaxing place. The portions were huge. Tasty foods and respectful staff.
I would skip this place. I have had their vermicelli in the past and found it lack luster. Just ordered a beef sub which triggered me to leave this poor review. The bread was cut-the-roof-of-your-mouth dry and the beef was so tough it felt like I was eating rehydrated jerk. After Viet-Sub express closed, this is the closest Vietnamese place to me. The difference in quality between the two restaurants is staggering. RIP Viet-Sub express.
Going back after it reopened. Lots of positive improvements .. Staff are very welcoming and kind enough to split the Chicken wings one order but mixed both Hot and BBQ in one order. Satay Chicken Sub is great as usual, Lemon Grass Chicken is good felt pieces are big could have been thin slices, Seafood on Egg noodles is great.. Nice and clean place now
Our order was not what we ordered. Got home and had a seafood curry that had 3 shrimps and 4 fish cakes in it. Have ordered and dined here many times but won’t be going back. Called to try and fix the mistake but the person blamed us instead of taking responsibility. I paid with debit and they didn’t take the 10% off that is advertised on their website. Will never recommend this place again.
They're the people who made me fall in love with Vietnamese food. I've been a regular here for 7 years. *Only now* have they raised their prices due to inflationary and supply chain pressures, and even then it's only by a couple bucks. Absolutely stunning how consistent they've been all this time; I don't think they've ever done me wrong. I get the pho and rice dishes, which are given in comically large portions, perfect for strongmen like me who need to eat like wolves. I'm the only person I know who can actually finish all the food in one go, and my friends can eat a *lot*. Best post-workout meal I've ever had is their beef rice dish with extra vegetables. Not only does it taste exquisite, it's homely, wholesome, complete, and massive. We need more restaurants like this, not just in Calgary, but in all cities: Places that stick to a homestyle way of cooking. I'm so sick and tired of these abysmal one-off trend restaurants that only serve Instagram losers social pages. Seems like they're everywhere now, letting yuppies flock to throw money down the gutter for small portions, unhealthy meals, and dumpster quality food for absurd prices. Pho Huong keeps it simple, clean and classic. Love you guys, never change.
One of the best places in Calgary for Vietnamese food, bar none. Always consistent quality dishes along with generous portions. Reasonable prices unlike many of the places in this city which are no longer affordable for a family.
