Pho Bistro

The waitress was polite but the service was quite slow because she was the only one on the floor. The portions were a bit small in terms of the price. The pho and pineapple chicken fried rice tasted decent. They should have hired more servers.

It's the worst restaurant in GTA I have ever been to. We didn't check the review before we came. Guys, check how many bad reviews they got recently and then decide if you should come. 1. The owner surcharged at checkout, she claimed the new menu hasn't come and it's legal for her to surcharge as long as she sticks a note at the check out desk. She doesn't need and doesn't have time to tell the customers in advance or stick a similar note on the menu. It doesn't matter how much you charge, but you should tell customers sincerely in advance. There is no way you can randomly surcharge at checkout. 2. I found out she surcharges $5 at checkout and so I refused to pay tip the tip amounts to around $5. The owner/server then became so crazy, shouted at us, and threatened us to get out of her restaurant. 3. I ordered 3 chicken wings, but she serves 10 wings. I don't know if she didn't understand or just tried to get more money. Anyway the size was too small, so I didn't ask her to take some back. 4. The food taste was plain, and many dishes were not available. 2 well done beef Phos: Menu: 12.5 *2 Charged: 14*2; 10 Chicken Wings: 10 Charged: 12- I actually ordered 3, but the size is too small so I accept it. The server just randomly charges, the dish name on the receipt doesn't even match what I order. The 1st image sticky note is only on check out desk.

I’ve been coming here for 6 years, and I absolutely love it. The food is always amazing, super personalized customer service. I never have to order any more she just knows what I wants and confirms it as I walk in!!! Amazing lady! She is so sweet, always has good conversations and the environment is cozy and safe!! I love this restaurant and the staff that work here. Will definitely be back soon;

Just had their lunch. Price was great as you get spring rolls or fresh rolls and a soup. Pho was yummy. They also have dim sum which I was happy about. Great service.

If I could give this restaurant for service a 0 I would. I ordered through skip and paid $29 for a soup. In the instructions I specifically asked for the “spicy sauce on the side”. When I received the soup the spicy sauce was in the soup and as a result I could not eat the soup, especially because I was just finishing having the flu. I called the restaurant to see what they could do and the women I spoke with said that I could come in and pickup a new soup, no charge, great! Next day in the afternoon I called and asked to pick up the soup which they said no problem. Only to get a text msg 10 minutes later stating that I would have to pay and it wouldn’t be free. I immediately called because I was on my way, she spoke over me, aggressively and yelled at me that I was wrong and if I wanted to pick up the soup i would have to pay. I do not recommending this restaurant. I’m just sharing my horrible experience, this is my first negative review I have ever written.

I really enjoyed the food as it was a large portion and flavourful. Both the waiter and owner were pleasant and provided good service. The only downside is the cost - $17.50 for a regular size beef with rice noodle pho seemed a bit pricey for the meal. I will go back, just not as often as I'd like due to cost.

We have been to Pho Bistro in Barrie 5 times so far. Every time we went, we couldn't help but notice the unpleasant, defensive attitude of the owner. Her tone of voice is not very pleasant. Today at 3pm my husband ordered a red curry with chicken. We found a small lump of sticky white powdery stuff. When we approached to pay the bills and asked what that white powdery, lumpy stuff was in his curry, she wasn't very keen on answering to our polite, reasonable question. She said, "I don't know what that is!" Then we asked, 'can you ask the cook please?' Sure enough, her cook confessed that it was a spoonful of corn-starch that didn't get mixed well into the curry. My husband honestly thought that was MSG. Corn starch needs to be diluted in warm water separately before adding to a dish, otherwise they form clumps. Anyhow, I just wish the owner to see my comment and understand that we don't appreciate her defensive behavior every time we go there. I hope this review will make a difference in the future.

I recently dined at Pho Bistro and I was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and elegant decor creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. The menu offerings were diverse and offered something for everyone, but what truly stood out to me was the quality of the food. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented, and the flavors were nothing short of extraordinary. I especially loved the beef pho, which was cooked to perfection and had the most amazing blend of spices and seasonings. The service was also top-notch, with the staff being friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. They were happy to make recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Overall, I highly recommend pho bristro to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a charming and welcoming setting. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes!

The food was mediocre 2-3 star territory at best, but the service was really poor. The woman running the front end doesn’t belong in a customer service role. She lives on her cellphone making personal calls - including while bringing your food over - and that seems to be her strategy to avoid having to interact with customers. I’m surprised she forced herself to hang up long enough to take our order. To the owner: Do your business and your customers a big favour and hire someone else to run the front end. She’s terrible at the job and is clearly driving away business just read some other reviews. It’ll save you a ton of money in the long run. Tl;dr: Never again. Zero stars.

Even if you’re starving to death and you have no other options, do not go here!! The waitress was rude and unhygienic, and her long nails almost went into the Phở bowls when she brought it to the table. The waitress had a annoyed expression on her face whenever she served us. When she took our orders, she was rushing us, even though there was only one other table and it wasn’t busy. She was very aggressive. When we looked back at the restaurant after we left, she gave us the middle finger. Her customer service was rude and inappropriate, and she shouldn’t be working in customer service if this is her attitude in this field. I hope she reads this.
