Ordered take out after reading several good Google reviews. Ordered the Red Seafood Curry spicy and also the House Special Fried rice spicy. I was honestly very disappointed. There was a lot of mixed Seafood which was good but it wasn't spicy at all. The fried rice was more sweet. The pieces of beef and chicken were large and in my opinion should have been cut up. After spending over $40 on these dishes I would have expected more. Only reason I gave it 3 stars is that the variety and quantity of Seafood was plentiful. Otherwise would have rated it 2 stars.

Delicious food,the wonton and spring roll was the best part. Food got flavor and hits the spot when craving it. Wish they put a little bit more peanuts tho. I ordered through Uber Eats and did pick up- it was ready on time as it the app said it would be. Going to these guys directly next time.

If you want to have Authentic Thai food in Barrie; you can visit this small food joint. Though this restaurant is too small in size their food is very delicious. Try Satay NoodlesChicken... its their special dish and one of my favorite.

Worst Thai food I have ever had. No flavour, not authentic at all. Green curry dish was disgusting and looked like paste not sure you can see in pic instead of the creamy coconut milk curry infused sauce as it should be. Even their wonton soup, which most soups an inherently salty was bland dish water. So disappointed and not even helped when called to complain. Bad all around, stay away!!

I've tried a number of Thai places since moving to Barrie a few years ago, and I've come to Jade a number of times, but this last takeout order this past week was the best I've had from here, and the best Thai in Barrie IMO. The shrimp pad Thai was delicious with plump large shrimp and lots of flavourful sauce. The Basil beef was tasty- I'd just prefer the beef was chopped smaller and the basil amped up a bit. But still good. The cashew chicken was tasty and tender. The mango salad was delicious, but was the only dish that wasn't a plentiful serving. Too bad because I devoured it and would have liked more. And the mango slices are a little bigger chunks than I prefer. I think too they would benefit from changing up the vegetable components in different dishes rather than repeating the same flavours onion, broccoli, etc All in all, on balance its not perfect, but it is pretty good, certainly workable, and the prices are reasonable. I like that you are asked to customize the heat level on each dish. The food is fresh, tasty, ready when they say, and at a decent price. After trying 5 or 6 places, I think its the best choice, on balance.

I’ve benn in many Thai places in Ontario and my preferred dish is chicked pad thai. This place is one of the best three I’ve ever had a choice to try. You can check my reviews and you’ll see my preferred ones. Pricewise is very affordable and especially for Barrie this is the best thai place. Just one recommendation to the owners maybe to improve air temperature in the waiting area. I get that you’re facing har times because of the covid, but try to make it cooler in these hot days.

The food is good but the portions are small. I know costs are at an all-time high but we honestly found it tough to feed 4 people and we spent $80. If you’re not price sensitive, definitely go here for some authentic Thai food. Otherwise, your money will get you further at some other places in Barrie.

* Took a Star off just for the fact they offered free spring rolls for a favourable Google review right on the counter. Bribery! On to the review. Instead of steady delivery to save a buck, I drove in for takeout. First of the ambiance of the place could use modernization. As for the food a Dinner 2A with a small Tom Kha soup. The soup was fine, but the spring roll come with a funky tasting brownish sweet sauce. The steam rice was small and cold. The Chicken Pad Thai and basil chicken was a good portion and extremely tasty. The basil chicken had a lot of chicken and all the chicken white meat was very tender. Bottom line minus the cold rice and funky sweet sauce just use the package plum sauce for the spring roll, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Great new restaurant in Barrie. Food was delivered quickly and hot. Fresh ingredients and unique flavours to each dish which is a nice change compared to some Asian restaurants where a lot of the dishes taste the same. Everything was great would have rated a 5 but the chicken pad Thai could have used a little more sauce, just a but dry. Will definitely order here again!

Visited recently. George is great and attentive. Service is exceptional and the food delicious. We had the Tom yum coconut soup and it was so flavourful. Yum!!! We also ordered the green chicken curry and the old favourite chicken pad Thai. Can’t go wrong with either. The green curry had just the right amount of spice. Perfect. Pad Thai is excellent. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. We will be stopping here regularly.
