Took a ring in to get resized. Easy enough, right? Nope. The old woman who "helped" me and my fiancee was rude, abrasive and condescending. She demanded paperwork for the ring, and was shocked I didn't have it on me. We were able to get over the lack of paperwork eventually. When we got oh so close to talking about the resizing itself, what we were there for, she refused to go any further after I told her the value of the ring and again demanded paperwork. Her tone suggested she thought I either stole the ring, or was trying to run some type of insurance scam. Not once did she even suggest, much less attempt, sizing the ring or my fiancee's finger. We never got that far. I went across the aisle to a Goldsmith who was professional, courteous and warm, everything the old woman at People's was not. Congrats, old woman, you've ensured I never buy any jewellery from People's. I'm sure your boss would be happy to hear about your great customer service.

Horrible experience, I have never been so disrespected in my life. I was called yesterday to tell me that a ring set I had sent out had been in for pick up. When I called back to confirm I had mentioned that I do not have the repair slip and my husband dose that I live a hour out or town and want to make sure I can pick it up, they said as long as I have ID. Not to mention I was there the day before for a different pick up and they didn’t ask for the slip never mind ID me, they only asked to confirm my telephone number. I went in today to pick up the times they called about and when I did I was told I was unable to pick the merchandise up as I did not have the repair slip and it was not under my name. I told them I asked yesterday if that was going to be an issues and they said no, hence the hour jont into the city and me being there. My husband works 12 hour days 6 days a week and is unable to pick up at this time. I had my ID, a photo of the ring, was able to confirm all the account information and I called my husband to speak with one of them to release the ring and he gave the exact amount it was purchased, purchase date etc. They still refused, in fact they told me I was a liar and that they would have NEVER said to come in without it, why would I lie and waste my time when I have a 11 week old baby I’m carrying around crying her head off? I had asked them several times to call a manager, they refused one of them told me she was on holidays and the other told me that she was in a very important meeting. I asked them to call security, they refused. I asked them to call head office they refused they refused my service and actually turned there backs on me and completely ignore me until I said I was going to call the RCMP and there all going to loose there jobs over this. After making standing there for over 45 minutes they finally called the manager, I had asked to speak to the manager 3 times while they were on the phone and didn’t allow me too. In fact she said, the manager dosent want to speak to you. They would not have the manager call me back, and they wouldn’t give me her Information. They also wouldn’t tell me when she would be in next. I had security come, when they came I had asked for the ladies to provide there names as there were 3 ladies, a red head a East Indian with really back combed hair and a old lady wearing a name tag named Dorothy. They started to lie and change the story to what was happening. They said I never asked to speak to the manager and I never asked for security. The other two refused to provide there names. I have never been so disrespected or miss treated in my life, I have had issues in the past but not like this. These ladies were incredibly unprofessional and very ignorant. I will never be back. In the past 5 years between my husband and my self we have spent around 30 000 dollars at peoples and I will be returning every item ever purchased. I will not support a company like this. I’m disgusted.

my girlfriend just had the worst experience here and was disrespected by the staff members who literally turned their backs to her. she was misinformed over he phone, told to come in, then mistreated in person. management needs to step it up based on the history of reviews. put a tim hortons at this location, it will be more successful.

Manager is rude and has horrible customer service. We were super excited to find my ring and had already paid for the ring and resizing. They called us a week later to tell us we now have to pay an additional $350 because they had a new employee who didn't know the policy and that what we paid for only covered for sizing up to 2 sizes not the 2 1/2 sizes we required. Will definately not be using then ever again. Sale I think not.

I once called to ask about a ring I bought for my wife under my wife's name. she asked me what my name was lol.... I said why is that relevant. she hung up. I had other encounters that would rate them a one star like them not fixing our wedding so we had no ring for our wedding. However the manager did lend us the same ring to borrow although it was a 7 and not the 6.5 (our original was being re-sized). However I give them props because most the other rude workers said they have never done this before at borrowing out a ring... overall bad customer service but ok manager,
