I discovered yoga in 2004, when my rheumatologist recommended it to maintain mobility. In 2009, I experienced a severe arthritis flare up which necessitated a career/life change. Encouraged by my yoga instructor at the time, I attended the Konalani Ashram in Kona, HI, and became a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher.
After years of experiencing decreased mobility and painful joints, I learned to respect my limitations; to treat my body with compassion and patience. I tuned in to my breath and mind, finding peace and profound healing. Yoga has been my lifeline through major changes and ill health; providing me with skills useful far beyond the mat. My teaching style is nurturing and calm, and I feel privileged to practice with students of all body types, ages, and experience levels.
