We booked the Conference Centre for over 150 ladies and had an amazing experience. From Norman meeting us at the front door, to the front desk service everything was A1.nWe organized all of the events with Brittany and Samantha and had superior service. From 9 in the morning until midnight there was always someone who was available to answer any question. The banquet service was wonderful with fantastic service for ladies with dietary issues. Our friendly bartender took very good care of us every night. The behind the scenes service was also easy to access and there was always a friendly face to help us load and unload our vehicles. I highly recommend using this venue for any special event.
With the Farmer's Market right outside the hotel door the location was excellent. The Barking Parrot bar and restaurant was fun and mostly good food. The breakfast restaurant was passable but nothing to write home about. Hotel desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping got the job done but didn't go out of their way to ensure all supplies were refilled daily milk in fridge for coffee ? Stir sticks ? Disposable coffee cups ?.
I was worried checking into this hotel after reading numerous negative reviews. I must say though, this hotel provided my family with a positive experience. The rooms may be a bit dated, however they were clean and had newer furnishing's. We had a lake view room in the main building. It had a small balcony but provided a fantastic view. The lobby is updated and welcoming. Every staff member we were in contact with was courteous and helpful. We were able to hear some music from the barking parrot downstairs, but the hum of the AC drowned it out. There is limited parking for larger trucks. The pool is pretty underwhelming and dark.
Beautiful location. Very loud right by the bar so if you’re looking for a nice quiet spot this isn’t for you. The lobby and public areas are beautiful but the rooms are the worst I’ve seen in years. Everything is dated and you cannot control the AC. The walls are paper thin, the people in the hallway sound like they are in your room. The beds were the most uncomfortable. Horrible sleep and they ask you to keep the patio doors closed all night so the room is muggy and you’re lucky if the AC turns on. The reception had zero personality but at least it was a quick check in process. The only positive thing about this experience was the lake we got to look onto. In my opinion, there are way better places to stay in Penticton. This is not worth the price.
Our first time to Penticton and this resort. We had some difficultly figuring out where the lobby was upon entering the parking lot as there was no signage. There was also a ton of loitering which made us uncomfortable.nRooms were a bit dated, paint coming off ceilings, bathrooms weren’t in the best condition and no vent. We had a lake view which was beautiful, however the large outside light on our patio remained on the entire time which left evening viewing difficult. The breakfast restaurant, the Bufflehead Cafe, had a nice patio and Starbucks coffee. The Barking Parrot bar was loud, even from our balcony. The indoor pool and hot tub needed a cleaning but the private beach was nice with food and beverage staff. The Hooded Merganser restaurant served a great meal and recommend sitting on the patio. Housekeeping staff were friendly. Resort is across from the amazing Saturday morning market and close to the beach path. When checking out we were surprised by the $15/day parking fee which seems ridiculous considering we were staying at that hotel. Most likely not to stay there again.
