We had a lovely stay at the lakeside resort. I really appreciated how they give you a $15 card to use at the restaurants if you forgo on having your room cleaned for the day. We were there for six nights and by no means did we need the room done up everyday we were there so in the days that we didn't I got a free breakfast with the $15 card. So that was a really nice touch.nThe days that we did use the service they did a wonderful job in the room looked fantastic.nThe rooms do come with a fridge and there was a few times that we ended up with leftovers after eating dinner so we had somewhere to store them safely which was great but there was no microwave provided in the room. But if you ask at the front desk they do bring one to you which was really wonderful.nThe location is absolutely amazing! It's right down by the lakefront and there are restaurants everywhere. Main Street is super cute to walk down. So many wonderful shops. Plus, there's a wonderful lakefront walkway right out the back door.nOverall we had a great stay and would definitely go back.
Noisy, Uncomfortable, and Unsafe – Do Not RecommendnnThis was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced and I'm a very seasoned traveller. From the moment I arrived, I could tell the rooms were very dated — old furniture, thin walls, and spring mattresses that made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. SPRING MATTRESSES!!!! Plus no climate control in the rooms, just hot or cold, which the cold was not cold. For three women who are menopausal, we like to control the temperature but with it not working we opened the patio door and the noise from the bar directly below was constant and went on well past midnight. Even with earplugs, I could still hear shouting, music, and banging until the early hours. Doors closed and hot.nnOn top of that, the doors did not have proper padlocks, which made me feel unsafe leaving my belongings in the room. It seemed like security was not a priority at all. For the price, I expected at least a basic level of comfort and peace, but this place failed on both fronts. Over $300 a night.nnIf you are looking for a relaxing stay, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This hotel needs serious renovations, better soundproofing, and proper security before I could ever consider staying again. And yes we did phone down and request a better room but nothing was available and didn't seem like it was a priority. In the morning when we left at 6am, again we were faced with a backlash that no one else had complained so why should we. We were scheduled to stay multiple days but left after one horrible night.
The Penticton Lakeside resort is in a very nice location right on the lake. We were lucky enough to have a lake view on the sixth floor. So beautiful view and the room was spacious and very comfortable. No complaints everyone was very friendly and when I had a problem with our safe, the problem was solved ASAP. There are three restaurants here one is a bar one we went to for breakfast and another one for dinner. All are very good, except the Merganser was a little too pricey for a dinner. The view outside is absolutely beautiful though, and that might be what you’re paying for. There is also a really nice gym that is in the resort but you have to go outside and use its entrance because it is also open to the public. It’s in a great location, downtown and close by a lot of other restaurants, parks, attractions. Overall, a great place to stay and I look forward to going back.
I love stopping here for the hotel and the gym, but something really bothers me: the first two parking spots are permanently reserved for the owners, pushing the designated accessible parking spots farther away. It feels inconsiderate, especially for anyone with mobility issues who now has to walk extra distance while the owners’ spots often sit empty. They’re labeled “wife reserved” and “dude reserved”nnIt would be great to see the business prioritize accessibility and customer needs over convenience for management. A small change would make a big difference for handicapped visitors.
It was very unfortunate, but when my husband and I turned in for the night, pulling back the cover over our beds, I saw that one of the bedsheets from one bed had not been changed from the previous person. How can I tell you ask? Well, the bedsheet was all wrinkled from a person sleeping there previously and I found long black hair in that bed. I found that very disturbing, and not only that, it was very disgusting. Please be aware.
