What an amazing hotel experience!! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable! Each and every one of the staff was a breathe of fresh air. The hotel was gorgeous and clean! Lots of amenities within walking distance.nnAlso watched their “Rotten” theatre show and was in AW! The costumes, the set, the actors/actresses/crew. All of it was jaw dropping! Huge congratulations to them all!nnWill ABSOLUTELY be staying here whenever in Penticton. I’d give ten stars if I could!
While the location of this hotel is beautiful, the building lacks adequate sound proofing. We were kept awake both nights by sports teams running around, yelling and slamming doors both children and adults. The hotel has a noisy bar that attracts loud, drunken patrons who wander about the property until after the 2 am closing time. The bedding was substandard for a hotel with a 4 star rating. It was a thin blanket wrapped in two sheets…hardly comfortable.
Great location. Right in front of the park where they have the Christmas lights etc. Lots of ground level parking and covered parking but you have to pay. Big hotel. Backs onto the lake. My biggest issue with this hotel is that the company didn't spend any money to replace the outdated, slow 1970s toilets. You shouldn't have to watch your shit going in circles in addition to the fact that the toilet doesn't always flush properly the first time. You have to wait for the big water tank to fill up which takes at least 30 secs and more. There is lots of water pressure in the sink so that's not the issue with the tank. I am very sure the hotel can get a really good price for new toilets if they bought toilets for each room. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms that you can turn off and on. It's very hard to use the bathroom if someone just used it before you. No microwaves in the rooms. They have their ice bucket and washed glasses in the bathroom near the toilet. Just imagine all the water mist from the toilet going up in the air onto the glasses and the clean towels which are right above the toilet. They could have easily put the glasses and ice bucket on the desk in the room where the coffee machine and water bottle is sitting. I don't understand their logic. Fridge wasn't cold enough and there was no temperature setting knob.
Do not expect to get a good sleep. The rooms were not very sound proof, all the doors slam shut and you can hear all noise from the hallways. We stayed on a Saturday night and people were drunk making noise throughout the night. The mattress was also quite springy. I would say this is no more than a 3 star hotel and would likely not recommend if you value peace and quiet.
Stay at the resort was not as expected. Pool was too cold, hot tub was green colored. Room didn't have hot water at all, the service desk never returned my call for this.nnThe only upside to the stay was the kind gentleman when I called for room service for breakfast, all the lovely Xmas decorations and the store and the Starbucks take out in the restaurant. Hence the two stars, but the cold water was just a no. Travelling with a toddler requires a bath and that's a big no.
