Passage View Motel

I was in town unexpectedly and needed a place to stay at the last minute during peak tourist season . I called the Passage View Motel and the manager went out of her way to find me a room. Turns out I needed to stay a few days longer and once again the manager found an opening for me. I was surprised at the nightly rate, very reasonable considering the rooms are 25 feet from the ocean! The rooms themselves are spotless, the furniture is a bit dated but fully functional and clean. Downtown and the hospital are within walking distance and there is a pub just down the road a bit. I highly recommend Passage View Motel.

Immediately upon walking into the room it smelled musty, almost like mould. Bathroom fans didn’t work, no AC, wifi didn’t work at all even though it’s listed as one of the amenities. Went to get into my bed and there was a fur on the pillow, checked out early from our 2 day stay, left the room with bug bites that aren’t mosquito or spider bites and a terrible sleep because it was so hot all night. Office smelled like stale beer and staff could’ve been friendlier. Overall clean ish place, great location but could use renovations and staff could pay more attention to detail when cleaning out rooms. Likely wouldn’t stay here again

The key to our vehicle was stolen from our room without any sign of break in. We were left with no vehicle and feeling unsafe staying the night. The owners tried to blame us after saying there had been a series of break ins. We even noticed the other vehicles in the parking lot had smashed windows on the way out, should have known better from the start:

What a great small motel! The rooms are directly on the water, with balconies on the second and third floors first floor rooms have patios. The plastic chairs on the balcony are not the best, but there is a comfortable chair located right in the room at the sliding doors to the balcony. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have kitchenettes. I highly recommend the Passage View. If you must have the luxury of a Hilton property, you will not be happy. If you want a room with a fantastic view in a quiet location, stay here!

Stayed here a couple of times while scoping the area for properties; our booking was always last-minute and the manager managed to have a room every time. Location is fabulous, right on the water with no roads to cross. Rooms were super clean and beds comfortable. Management is very friendly and runs a tight ship - price was good too. Fully recommend this place.

These people are amazing and so friendly! The rooms were great for the value! The views are nothing short of amazing. We have stayed several times and they always remember us right away. Missed so much staying last summer due to covid hoping we can make our way to this lovely place this soon!Rooms: 4/5

It is an older model but it's very clean, has balconies with fantastic view of the ocean. Found the bed comfortable. Great value for the price. Would stay here again

The Passage View offers excellent value during high season on the island. Our ground floor room opened up to a lovely view of the bay, with a walk out shared patio. The patio includes a BBQ and there are stairs leading down to a beautiful rocky beach - my husband and I enjoyed listening to the gentle waves in the evening before tucking in to the cozy bed. Everything was clean, the on-suite kitchenette has a good assortment of useful items plus an electric stove top, and the owners are lovely we met a daughter + mother team at the front desk. We also really enjoyed meeting Gracie the cat and Coda the dog!! They offer pet friendly rooms, as well as a complimentary light breakfast yogurt, cereal, mini muffins. I especially enjoyed the abundance of flowers on the property - such a great way to add gentle fragrance and a splash of color! Only downside for some is that the rooms are not air conditioned - something to be aware of if you are sensitive to heat. It did not bother us though. Definitely a high end experience for this price range - would recommend to other travelers!

The view cannot be beat for the price. Rooms are clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would 100 % stay here again when in the area.Rooms: 5/5

I found this hotel to be very nice and cozy. It is kept very clean and managed very professionally. The view is outstanding and I would highly recommend anybody traveling through Campbell River to stay here.
