Party City

Love this place for party supplies! We did not have the best experience last night, however. We arrived at 8:00 PM and was hurried out by one of the staff members who let us know the store was closing at 8:30 PM (this was fine). She was visibly annoyed we were cashing out with $200+ dollars worth of items at 8:25 PM which having worked in retail I can understand is annoying, but not the end of the world. I asked her if Party City would be getting any additional candle holders as I purchased all that was on the shelf and she simply told me my "best bet" was to order online or try another store then walked away. The cashier who was ringing us in overheard this conversation and was super helpful by checking to see if there was availability at the Kitchener store which was great. Great selection of supplies and usually helpful staff with exception to the disappointing experience with the one team member last night.

I bought 2 balloons for my boyfriend's birthday and within 20 min after purchasing one of them popped. We immediately went to get another - no problem. Then the other one pops the next afternoon less than 24 hrs. I go back in and get another one again no issues with customer service. On my drive home it pops after 10 minutes and the sound also scared me. I am extremely frustrated as I do not have time to go back multiple times (especially in Friday traffic) and this should not be happening when I spent $32 on TWO balloons. I was wanting these balloons for birthday celebrations this weekend and I am very unimpressed with quality after not one but THREE balloons popped. I will not be purchasing from Party City in the future and will tell friends and family to go elsewhere.

One star because the balloon i had purchased had a hole and the girl was kind enough to give me another balloon, bigger and much more nice. One star because out of that HUGE store, only two people working. one was on the cash register and the other, god knows where. i was there for about 45 minutes for one balloon.. not a huge amount, just one. not only did i wait that long, some other ladies were waiting as well and the poor girl was handing cash all by herself. 3 people waiting for balloons, and about 10 people waiting in line to be checked out. one lady asked the other girl working in the store if she can come and help out, maaaaybe 10 minutes later she shows up. lovely store, but they really need more people working. or at least have an extra during rush hour. that was horrible to wait 45 minutes for one balloon.

A really good place for costume stuff or just fun props.
