Park by Sidewalk Citizen is so wonderful and incredibly accommodating! We booked our wedding just over a month out and Michal was an absolute joy to work with. She made sure that everything was well coordinated and prepared even though it was such short notice. Our wedding was perfect and we are so glad we chose to have it here! As for the food, by far some of the best food in Calgary!!! Everyone that came praises it every time I speak to them. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, delicious food, lovely people and wonderful service. Thank you for hosting our day and making it so memorable!
A tad overhyped. It’s a modern place for brunch and I felt that their menu is catered to that as well. The food that they have is flavourful, but their menu does not suit my tastes. It’s items that seem trendy and unique, but not suited for my palette. For example, I would prefer something that has meat, veggies, and carbs. But none of their dishes include everything, it’s either a vegetarian dish or meat and carbs with sauce. There is the salmon item, but I’m not a fan of pickled and vinegar flavours. Their bread is very good, I also quite enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. Although the bathroom down the stairs was very dim. Overall a nice place to try, I probably wouldn’t come again.
The food was delicious, Middle Eastern inspired and definitely different from other places, but overpriced. The menu does not specify what is vegan/gluten free, etc, so it might be hard for people with dietary restrictions to find something. We went on a weekday night, and there was no one else in the restaurant. The fireplaces are very cozy, and I overall liked the atmosphere. I would probably come back.
Well thought out dishes with ingredients that paired beautifully. Some of my favorites were the stuff chicken wings, beets and the basil mousse cake. Simply delicious Service was friendly and professional!
NEVER AGAIN !!!! Blekh!! MAJOR BUYERS’s REMORSE FOOD IS OVERPRICED AND YET NOT REALLY THAT EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD! SERVICE IS VERY SLOW! SERVING PORTION IS SMALL We came for dinner and ordered the BUTTERNUT SQUASH AGNOLOTTI - feels like rubber with some egg shells crackling in your mouth while you eat it SNOW CRAB TOAST - $30 - an open face toast with little crab meat which I’m not even sure if its fresh, the dressing taste like a mayonnaise with aoli ... and most of all it took them forever to prepare our food - while they only have 3 table occupied including ours
Our work hosted our Holiday Dinner at this venue and it was absolutely wonderful! The planning and organizing was very minimal on our end as the staff are extremely organized and helpful. The venue had beautiful decorations and was an amazing event. So accommodating and lovely, would highly recommend!
Went for brunch at this place. Food was okay. Service was absolute trash. Christina the “manager” was our server if you can even call it that. So ridiculously rude. Never came to check on us. Threw our receipts at us didn’t even give them to each person just dropped a pile at the table. We had to actually almost yell at her to get the machine as she just ran away from us. Not even a single attempt to be a nice person. Would never return simply based on this server.
The food and space are fantastic. French toast was probably the best I’ve had in Calgary, perfectly soft with beautiful lemon curd and house made jam. The rose jam was so good too. The prices were super reasonable too. The service left a lot to be desired, so they need to work on that.
I had amazing experience, the service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and has a good atmosphere and good music is playing. I highly recommend on sidewalk to anyone, Can’t wait for my next visit.
This was our first time visiting the restaurant although we had SC’s bread before and we were quite impressed with the layout, the service and the food. When we saw the smaller menu, it suggested to us that they put more care in making the food great and we were right. We would definitely come back here again.
