I went today around 12:00pm and was thrilled because there was no line up. The store itself wasn’t busy at all which surprising to me because just few weeks ago people were lining up crazy for hours. They have quite variety of individual cheesecake, looks very pretty but I ended up getting the basque cheesecake instead. I will come here again to try the individual tart next time.
This is my second time coming to the store, bought a fresh cheese tart. I find its better than the min cheese tart as the skin is thinner and filling is creamer. I will try their premium cheese cake and drinks next time. A little pricy for the size.
We saw this newly opened Japanese cheese tart shop. My son wants to try having their cheese cake for his birthday instead of whipped cream cakes. He decorated his cake We also tried their tartscreme brulee, roasted almond marshmallow chocolate and tiramisu. Crème brulee was my favorite with its crispy caramel and cheese tart base not too sweet. Roasted almond marshmallow chocolate is full of different rich tastes combined with chewy and crispy but a little too sweet for me. Tiramisu is bittersweet but more sweet than bitter from coffee. They also have cheese smoothie and we will be trying next visit
Definitely worth the wait! I don't get why people are giving mid ratings because they waited in line ‍ ofc line's gonna be long since today's the opening day! As expected from a Pablo Japanese Bakery Cafe, the cheesecake and tarts were delish! Too bad we weren't able to get the original cheesecake but we got their Basque cheesecake and as well as their tarts - chocolate, matcha, and toasted almond chocolate! Will definitely be back to try their ube shake and tart!
Quiet a cute dessert place for a quick bite! They have some delicious cheese tarts as well as some very good smoothies! My only complaints are the limited seating and difficulty to find parking, but I highly recommend this place, especially their oreo cake :
Short line up on a Monday lunch time. Took two stars off: Firstly, the staff took my order wrong, I want strawberry with mochi but he ordered me just regular strawberry one. Secondly, the box is a terrible design. I got a pack of 6, 3 on the top row got smacked from the lid, result in a very messy presentation. Taste is good but agreed nothing like Japan and nothing very very special
Went there on a Saturday about an hour after opening. There was no line but the selection was limited. I chose one of the mini chestnut cheese tart to try and found the chesnut too sweet. The cheesecake itself was decent but unremarkable. Not sure why all the hype. I won't be going back.
I love this basque cheesecake! I'm so happy to get it. There is no line now and so many flavor. And today I saw many new product! I'd like to try it!
Good variety of flavours. Creme brulee is my favourite. Tiramisu has a strong espresso flavour, which was good. The strawberry mochi was too sweet and hard probably being left out too long. The blueberry had nice sweet blueberry flavour in it. However, there are better original cheese tarts in vancouver. The original cheese tart doesn't have a strong cream cheese taste if you're into that. The crust seems a bit overbaked as well.
I waited 1 hr and 10 mins. I expected a long lineup and was prepared to wait like a trouper! I ordered 4 mini cheese tarts: original, ube, tiramisu & creme brulee. My fav is creme brulee - they nail the crust. My least fav: tiramisu. I wanted chocolate but the ones I saw looked a bit deflated. I think some people are too brutal with their reviews. Of course there will be a few mishaps, totally expected on opening day. I was a bit disappointed though I didn't get my mini tarts in a box. They were precariously placed in a paperbag with handles. But I think overall, more positives than negatives. I look forward to trying other flavors but when the lineups simmer down.
