Beaucoup Bakery & Cafe
"Beaucoup Bakery & Café creates exceptional French-inspired pastries and childhood favourites including sweet pastries, artistic cakes, seasonal tarts, nostalgic cookies and rich viennoiserie. The croissants have been cited as the city’s best in publications such as Vancouver Magazine. All sandwiches are made in-house and can be enjoyed ‘to-go’ or at a table in the charming 16-seat café. Beaucoup’s commitment to quality is never compromised and is evident in the 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters espresso and Bellocq tea they skillfully prepare and serve."

Wonderful little bakery. We very much enjoyed their croissants. They also serve individually made coffees and hot chocolates. Tasty, tasty, tasty! They had lots of different pastry options. You’ll find something you love! If you’re in the area I would highly recommend making the trip and checking this place out. Perfect for a breakfast or mid day snack. Side note: Seating is limited. They have three tables and three tables outside.
We wanted to try a new bakery and saw really good reviews for this bakery. But I think everything was just average. The croissant felt stale, and extremely greasy. The coffee was just average. I was charged $1.50 for soy milk for an americano, to me that's just ridiculous. Although the staff were very kind and friendly, unfortunately, I won't be going back. Also very limited seating inside.
The peanut butter cookies, both plant based and regular peanuts were excellent. Probably, the best peanut butter cookies we've had as they were both creamy, crunchy, and the taste of the cookie was scrumptious. The chocolate croissant or Paine de chocolate was very flaky, large, and also very good tasting. You can see they have a variety of not only pastries, but also jams, ornamental gifts, and local coffees. A nice place to visit and have a snack and coffee.
I've been buying pastries from Beaucoup Bakery for the last few years. I've never had a bad order from them. My favourite is their Kouign Amman. So buttery and caramelized! Today, I ordered their chocolate chips cookies. They're perfectly chewy with chocolate in every bite, and just the right amount of sweetness. This is why I've been a repeat costumer.
I've had the pleasure of visiting this establishment a few times now, and while I loved their ham and cheese rolls and croissants, I did find the pistachio croissant a bit too sweet for my taste. That being said, their croissants are undeniably great, and I highly recommend them. In fact, after trying their Sakura Croissant Supreme and Jasmine Tiramisu, I must say that I would add another star to my previous rating if I could. These two items were absolute winners in my book - the flavors were impeccable, and the execution was flawless. If you're a fan of unique and delicious pastries, make sure to try these out!
Wonderful service from both the cashier and the lady that makes the drinks. Yummy delicious pastries Can’t wait to come back! 5 stars Food: 5/5
After finally getting the opportunity to sample some of the baked goods, I must say that I fail to comprehend the enthusiasm surrounding them. To be honest, the croissant I tried was unappetizing. It was excessively dry, and the texture inside was reminiscent of Costco's baked goods. I'm uncertain whether they blended some shortening with the butter or if I obtained day old items. Considering the cost, the taste wasn't particularly noteworthy. Luckily, I only purchased a few items to experiment with. Thankfully, there are numerous other bakeries in the area to explore.
After many days of rain, it was a sunny day and I came to this bakery cafe for lunch. From the front door to the interior it gave me a comfy and bright feeling. There were plenty of choices of bread la and I spotted their bacon and onion roll looked good so I ordered it with a medium size latte. The roll tasted good and it’s size is big. They didn’t serve the cutlery so I assumed I had to hold it with my hand. The taste of bacon and onion was rich… while I was enjoying it, a large portion of it suddenly broke and dropped onto the floor. Really unexpected. A staff member saw it and she asked me which bread did I got and she gave me a new one. I didn’t take it for granted though many cafes may offer the same to their customers, I really appreciated her attentiveness and care to the customer. It is also worth mentioning the latte tasted good. Unlike some cozy cafes that serve bitter taste and herbal medicine like coffee with unpleasant after taste. While I was sitting there I observed the staff member checked the hygiene of the toilet frequently. In terms of food quality and service, I am happy to give them a 5-star. I am sure I will visit them again when I am around that area. Merci Beaucoup!
Hot chocolate and pastry always go together. This cafe serves one of the best hot chocolate drinks in town.Food: 5/5
Great atmosphere, the staff are very nice and kind and patient when ordering. Great job. In my short visit they cleaned, tidied and mopped while eating my baked goods and cold drink. Cheers,
