I was very happy with the service provided by Ottawa Duct Cleaning!

I received an email the day before the scheduled appointment detailing the preparation instructions.  The team arrived on time and immediately introduced themselves and explained what they would be doing and answered my questions.

They laid down carpets in the house to protect the floors and they took pictures of the ducts and dryer vent before and after.   They also told me when they were about to spray the ducts with the disinfectant.

They showed me the access points in the ducts that they created and how they were all properly sealed up at completion of the work and they explained that the same access points could be reused next time.

All in all a good experience.  I wish all contractors operated this way.

First time using Ottawa Duct Cleaning, they provided quote within 24 hours,  reasonable price,accommodated my schedule for booking, did a great job.  Would definitely use their services again.

This company is awful.  I told them that my crawl space was 3 feet high and the length of my house which is 1500 square feet with a second floor but they didn't know if their portable machine would fit in it since their truck with a blower is down so they cancelled my appointment.  They didn't ask if I even had a crawl space when I asked for an estimate - just the square footage of my house when they are aware that a lot of properties in Smiths Falls have them.  Anyway, they said that their truck is down which would just require a hose to go into my crawl space so now they just have portable machine which they failed to tell me before the crawl space issue. So, I sent them a message to let me know when their truck is fixed.  Lets see if or how long it will take to fix their truck.

The night before we were leaving on winter vacation, we discovered a mouse had crawled into an upstairs heating vent in out 90 year old home, and died there...creating a stench that our house sitters were not going to enjoy!  The critter was lodged around a bend that we couldn't get to.  We called our regular HVAC service agents but they were closed for the weekend and not very helpful when we finally reached the emergency line.  At wits' end, we called Ottawa Duct Cleaning Inc., and, despite our not being customers, the owner, Roger Asselin, came out himself and got rid of the problem.  And he refused to charge for his service.  All he would take was our thanks.  "You seemed desperate and I am glad to help out", he said.   Did we mention it was one of the coldest days of the winter?  Since then, we've checked out the great ratings Roger and his team receive on Google and Homestars, and we are switching our business to him this Spring..

So happy with Ottawa Duct Cleaning.  They e-mailed me what they wanted us to do the day before in preparation. They went to my elderly parents' house yesterday and immediately introduced themselves with a smile and an outstretched hand as Jake and Spencer.  They took pictures of the ducts beforehand and showed them to us as well as after.  They said if we had any questions to feel free to ask.  You got the impression that they weren't just paying lip service to the comment but really wanted you to ask them questions.   They also said the company which we had used previously had done a good job; they didn't feel the need to put someone else down in order to elevate themselves.  I've already recommended them to two other people.  Superb job!
