Some things are regularly overpriced as expected but I've never had much of a problem with the Box of Books program the school offers. It seems pretty seamless compared to other schools and is usually free so it's a win-win.
My first college experience was with OCC. I attended from 85-87. I had the BEST COLLEGE experience. OCC was very instrumental in starting my career in Media. There needs to be a plaque in honour of Spadafora and Robert Carnayspelling checking is killing the spelling of his name They were staples of the RTV Department back in the day..... Truly amazed at the growth of this campus. Proud to be an alumni of the school.
Nice to know there's a national bookstore onsite. Although not very large it's still has some of the feeling of a B&N bookstore
Every time I've gone here it's been a decent experience. They normally have what i need then and there or I'm able to order it online . The books are normally a little more pricey here but it isnt over priced , text books aren't cheap Ill admit it does gets a little crazy during the beginning of the semesters and picking up box of books which is to be expected but I feel there is a better way to deal with that .I know that isn't on the workers part though
I recently finished my second semester at OCC and just turned in my books from the "Box of Books" program for the second time which I HIGHLY recommend!! It's a super convenient program that saves you a bunch of $$$ and I decided I should update my review! I'm glad to say my opinion of this store and it's staff hasn't changed! They are just as wonderful, helpful and supportive as ever! So, thank you for that! *BUT* I did, unfortunately, get some bad news while I was there today.. and that was I found out that the store's best and most amazing employee is not going to be working there next semester. So, to you Mitch.. Thank you so much for all the help you've given me over these past two semesters! Thank you for always saying hello and asking how school was going whenever out paths crossed outside the store when I was working at one of the bookstores tables. Thank you Mitch for just being a kindhearted, genuine & cheerful addition to my OCC experience! I'm sad that you'll be gone, but just know that I'm so happy for your next step in your journey and i wish you endless success and happiness! Hopefully we'll cross paths in the future! Good luck with everything Mitch!
Nice school, wide range of programs, welcoming for the liberal arts departments as well as math and science degrees. Good teachers and fun social events. Cheap too, definitely recommended. Don't go to the dorms that's a whole other story lol
The place is like a candy store, and you are a 5 year old. You go in and everything is nice and sorted. The store is clean, people are nice, and it's friendly. So you go to get your stuff and BOOM you just spent 1/5 of the coast of collage on 4 books and a binder. Get reked.
The staff at Barnes & Noble Onondaga College book store are always attentive to the customers. They always have smiles and answers for all my questions. It makes me happy to be in their presence.
Had nothing but problems since day 1. It seems as though no one listens. The one who do are few and far between. I was put in harder math classes that I specifically said I did not need or want. I tried fixing it and kept getting blown off. It tool over 3 months to have everything finaly settled. If it was not for the few classes I actually like I would of left a long time ago. I highly don't recommend. Plus the online stuff they use now is junior. Everyone was having problem after problem.
