We came on industry day with the kids. They had face painting, food trucks and pony rides. A neat experience for the kids
The horse races were free entry and fun for all ages. The facility is fully accessible and newer. Lots of watching options. The food was over priced and not very good. I recommend eating at a near by food stop like Willy’s or Spanky’s.
Free entrance, lots of view spots, not too crowded. You can put bets on horses 2.5 dollars the flyer for the day races and there is also a casino.
No fun anymore. Machines are interesting but you don't even win to keep you playing. It use to be so much fun years ago, but since going paper your money is gone within half hour to 1 hour depending how much you bring with you.. You wait for a bonus and get garbage after waiting for so long to get one. Unless you bet high you don't benefit. And if you bet high your not there long. The old days at least you could be there for a few hours and have lots of fun even if you went home empty handed. Now you waste time depending on where you drive from on gas to get there and time to get there only ti to be done within an hour or less. So to go out and have fun there anymore its not. I dont Put any money in anymore, I sit and watch who I bring spend theirs and go home in disbelief watching people plunk hundreds of $$ in and leave dissatisfied. So well done casino owners . You've become so greedy you've taken the fun out of a night that use to be fun out.
This a clean place food is great a good evening out donated some money to the quick hit machine plus couple other it because I didn't leave when I won the 5 and 6 quick hits so I lost my money if I was smart I should of lefted when I won that money but never in hopes of winning more but instead I lost my winnings and plus more. I drove a distance to get there so I didn't want to end the evening so quick as I wanted to make it worth going the distance but I lefted sad as I lost my winnings and plus more. It is a nice place but be sure that you can afford to lose your money when you go there like at any casino but then again you might be lucky and go home a winner as I used too at casino in Ajax once in awhile
A bunch of us girls planned a night out. The person who planned this made reservations for dinner. What we finally found out after a lot of wasted time and even more inquiries is that the casino no longer was involved with the casino and even though the reservations were made through the casino. We got our tables but the food had to be brought to us from the restraunt that was in a different building all together. The waitress that served us was truly sorry about the whole thing and was quick try to make it up to us. By the time we got our food it was barely warm. I don't think any of us will be back.
We rented the Lighthouse Room to the right of the main building for an educational technology presentation. The room is big and the support staff excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate our complicated technology needs. We were able to set up over half a dozen virtual reality sets with digital projectors and the computers to run them. The catering was excellent with hot coffee and a continental breakfast, a hot lunch with multiple options and afternoon snacks. If you're looking for a technology capable local venue to present in, I'd highly recommend the Lighthouse Room.
First time. It's was clean and spacious. Enjoyed my time and also people playing were very pleasant
Went with some co-workers to see the races, we all had an excellent time as first time race betters. The ladies taking the bets were great to us, taking the time to explain the betting system. Ample seating, food offerings, and smokers area outside. Hit the slots on our way out and came out jackpot winners! The current renovations are looking like they're coming along quite well - look forward to the expansion!
Visited the Grand River Raceway in the evening so unable to see the tracks. There were a huge number of gaming machines for racing inside next to the Getaway restaurant. There is a slot machine casino inside too with over 100 machines.
