A Perfect Courtenay Getaway at the Old House HotelnnMy partner and I recently enjoyed a fantastic weekend stay at the Old House Hotel in Courtenay, BC, from February 21st, 2025, and we couldn't have been more pleased. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home.nnOur suite was impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, with a delightful view overlooking the hotel's inviting heated outdoor pool and hot tub. We took full advantage of these amenities, enjoying a relaxing soak under the stars.nnOne of the Old House Hotel's greatest assets is its prime location. We found ourselves within easy walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants and bars, making it effortless to explore Courtenay's vibrant culinary scene.nnAdding to the hotel's unique charm is its location on the banks of the Courtenay River, a fun fact that we found very interesting, it is known as the world's shortest navigable river.nnOverall, our experience at the Old House Hotel was exceptional.nnWe highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable, convenient, and memorable stay in Courtenay. We will definitely be returning!

We loved this hotel! The Old House Hotel is a fabulous and welcoming place to stay with friendly and helpful staff. It is centrally located close to all amenities and easy access to the main street in Courtney and a short drive to shops, galleries and sightseeing in Comox and the rest of the valley. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. With a beautiful full service Spa Oh Spa, it is an ideal place to stay for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and pool, an ideal treat after a long travel day. The Old House is perfect for ski holiday at local Mt. Washington and being close to town to enjoy some local dining, distilleries and brew pubs. We plan to return in the summer to explore mountain biking and hiking trails easily accessible from the hotel.

Love this place! Came for a romantic getaway, then came back 3 weeks later because we had so much fun! Pool is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious. Browns social house conveniently located a block away to partake in happy hour and watch the game. Pool and hot tub were great temperatures.nKatherine at the front desk knows her stuff. She was very patient with my husband and I appreciated that. The path along the river is a wonderful place to walk my dog!

It was an amazing experience! The hotel perfectly combines comfort and charm with spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. We had the 1 bed room suite, The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The amenities, including the pool and spa, added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. The location is fantastic, with easy access to local attractions and beautiful natural surroundings. I highly recommend the Old House Hotel for anyone visiting Courtenay. Five stars all the way!

Great hotel for relaxing.nI had a 1 bedroom suite with soaker tub, full kitchen, fire place and balcony overlooking the river. I made good use of the spa excellent service/treatments, and the hotel is pet friendly, so I was able to travel with my cat. I also want to give a special mention to Marie on the front desk... she was amazing! I'm a pretty high maintenance traveler, and was traveling with a friend, who also booked a suite and was traveling with a pet. Marie was able to do some juggling of rooms not easy when it's Thanksgiving and the hotel is full, so we had pet friendly, luxury suites next to each other. She went above and beyond to make our stay special. We've already booked again for 2025... and called ahead so we dont give Marie a headache at check-in. Cant wait to return
