Comox Valley Inn & Suites

Very poorly cleaned for a 2 week stay! Also the thermostat doesn't actually work most of the time besides in the morning and actually just turns a fan on if turned past 18C°. Pictures are misleading. I thought I'd be getting a stove and fridge but instead there is a microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge and freezet. Toaster oven at least looks brand new. Beds are very comfortable for the two queen beds room. Pots and pans are scratched Teflon and there are plenty of plates forks and butter knives but only one spoon, one bowl, and one really terrible old cutting knife in the kitchen. Water from the kitchen sink tastes awful and gave me a stomach ache and also felt more dehydrated after like it is contaminated or something. So gonna go get bottled water today. ): the pool and hot tub were pretty over chlorinated and chemical feeling and the hot tub was warm not hot. Also whenever someone goes upstairs the whole room and floor shakes. everything else in the room is pretty good. Doesn't look too bad and there is a nice flat screen TV in this room. Also plenty of plugins available.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. I live in powell river, and called the hotel earlier before leaving. The woman on the phone assured me that I would not need a credit card and that my debit car would be fine. Under the word of the owners employee I took the ferry over. Once arriving, the owner refused to let me check in and said I would need a credit card. He left me stranded in a town I don't know with no vehicle or idea where to go, regardless of what his employee assured me over the phone. Worst customer service and ownership I've ever dealt with. He was also extremely rude, and when I got upset with how he was treating me, told me to get off his property.

The price was good, the staff was friendly and courteous, my room was very clean and smelled like fresh linen. The Inn was also closely located to pubs, liqour stores, shopping and groceries stores. I look forward to staying there again.

Booked family room for 1 night but mainly to enjoy the winter activities at Mt. Washington. The hotel location is along Cliff Avenue, the main street with a huge selection of restaurants. Hotel has a small indoor swimming pool but the water did not appear inviting from a cleanliness standpoint hence we decline to sample a soak.

Stayed here before boarding at Mt. Washington alpine resort. Rooms aren't anything fancy but good enough. There's a pool and got tub
