I've had good experiences and bad in here. The main counter has always been a pleasure to deal with, but the medical equipment side is a little more frustrating. I broke my toe not so long ago and needed crutches so everyone at work would know for sure it was broken, I got a prescription from my doctor and off I went. The store had a couple of different options, they were missing my size 5'11 so I had to go scouting around for some help. A few announcements later a gentleman recommended a particular set to me with no apparent reasoning. When I asked if the incorrect size matters, apparently it didn't. Next up, I had to go to the medical equipment desk and watch some young lady play with my prescription for no less than 25 minutes. It would have probably been quicker if it wasn't for the frequent interruption of the phone which took priority over any customer in store. Suffice to say, I'll make the trip to Calgary next time I need medical equipment, however, the positive experiences I've had with the post office in there and the lovely lady on the main desk will keep me coming back to that part of the store at least.
I walked into the post office today and was greeted by Nicole! Nicole was super friendly and helpful and helped me with all my needs
This is a great place to go for all of your post office needs! I went many a time whilst living there over many years but as of more recently in the past 4 years or so I have found a most willing, helpful, and most friendly face to greet me along with a good chat after the business was done and all of my postal needs were looked after. Looking for a little human connection along with your postal needs met, I highly recommend coming here.
The only Post Office to go to IMHO. Nicole and June aren't just "home town helpful" but have taken the time to explain things and get me the best price on parcels. I have had to buy a few splints, braces and physio wraps for sports injuries and have been given extra information to ensure I use them properly. The front counter girls have answered general "Okotoks" questions and helped me get where I need to go. Honestly everyone there gets a gold star for friendly and helpful!
I recently had an encounter with staff at this pharmacy. They hang a Canada Post sign, but apparently they are not connected to Canada Post. Is that false advertising? Today they kept me on hold for more then 10 minutes - I had time to drive there and deal with my business reporting a residential group of mail boxes door left open, with all private mail exposed. I was informed, 'as long as there is a line-up we won't take a call.' Why answer the phone to begin with? Wouldn't a polite message do? 'Sorry, we're too busy to get to the phone right now, please try your call later...' It went from bad to worse. When I called back to speak to a manager to register my displeasure, I was put on hold again for more than two minutes before I hung up. Clearly, their time is more valuable than their customers. I have been spending thousands of dollars a year on prescriptions, pharmacy and postal services at HC Pharmacy. Suffice to say, I will be switching over to No Frills where they actually appreciate your patronage. HC Pharmacy, it's time to review your customer service policies and staff training.
Always a pleasure dealing with June at the Okotoks HC Pharmacy Post Office. Her professionalism is consistent with a patient positive attitude. She goes above and beyond to help. Such a cheerful delightful individual.
An Important Note About Reviews: To all those who write few to no reviews with only, please be aware that your misdirected frustrated energy drip with cynicism and hypocrisy and only serve to reveal a lack of character, patience and even honesty in many cases. Example 1: Chris Lemon - 8 reviews "Terrible customer service called 7 times before someone answered" My Response: Chris, their phone system waits for touch prompts of different lines for different departments. Considering all you had to do is listen to the pre-recorded message and then make your selection, rather than wait as you must have seems unproductive. It sounds like someone did finally answer. This means you must have waited 5-10 minutes, pressing neither 1,2,3 or 0 until the failsafe of "ring on 0" brought you to the front counter phone line where somebody "finally answered" as you put it. Here's where you went wrong: You were having a rough day or going to a frustrating moment in your life. Next, given that googling business details is easier than calling 7 times you are either a bit older/senior and bad with technology or you were calling to speak with a real person because returns and refunds require an actual conversation with an actual person. You were not calling to find out about the hours, that's for certain. Kindness and generosity are in serious demand here. Including for yourself. Nobody deserves to reach the end of their rope and suffer but its a reality of being alive. Pain is the price we pay for movement. That's whether we are climbing machu picchu on foot or traveling with our minds in contemplation of the cosmos, the abstract or the symbolic. Pain, psychic or physical is a normal part of the human experience but how we deal with it will largely determine how long the recovery time will need to be. Don't unleash on another person, even if the catharsis and resultant relief, with diminishing returns i'll add, helps you temporarily. Why? Venting always creates more heat than light and if you are in your honest heart, calling and hoping to return a shirt or discuss health coverage with the pharmacist, then honesty and kindness is much more likely to manifest the outcome you are hoping for. Consider the Law of the Harvest. "You reap what you sow". Cultivate a healthy garden in your heart and mind. Like the uninvited guest that rudely crashes a party and milks the civility of all the other guests, anger tends to be louder and demand your full attention. This should seem only natural, given that anger is a selfish, self-interested vice. Assume you are in the wrong. Assuming you can learn something from anyone you meet is the sort of meekness that opens doors to friendships, opportunities to grow, develop, evolve and become a more capable contributor to your society. This kind of meekness leads to compassion, compromise and if nothing else, the rest and peace of mind and soul from simply for having chosen to not carry the baggage of others, something often learned prior to learning how to drop our own. You reap what you sow, so cultivate your garden and nurture the more vital parts. If you don't, your personal life and professional life will gradually lose balance and you will find yourself unhappy, exhausted, coping with bad habits or substances and indeed, chasing a measure of success or accomplishment as the world measures such things. The tantalizing yet impossible task of chasing an ever-changing idea, an amalgam of self-justification, philosophies to affirm your own internal bias and briefly resolve internal conflicts and ironies by deadening their shouts for your attention. All this done by chasing wrong, dead-end principles and idea shaped by winds of trend and erosion of truth in the objective, for the sake of fiat and popularity. Basically, The symptoms of an uncultivated garden, which, if given enough time, always returns wild and unruly. Weariness, fatigue, poor motivation and general misery come next in waves of increasing speed and height.
Love this pharmacy! The staff always make me feel like family, they always offer help with smile. For the store itself, the Home care selection is great and very reasonable price compare to big stores in Calgary . Gift shop is a must visit, always something new and unique. Love the pharmacy team, professional and respectful! and the free delivery is very helpful specially in these tough times. Our annual Family Santa photo is always taken at the pharmacy, very nice setup and photos are free.
