Off the Grid Waffle Cafe

What a great place! Lots of yummy food that the kids just loved me too . The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. My only issue is the waffles are a bit thin and I was hoping to really get the crispy outside and fluffy inside with my fried chicken. The waffles with desert are great! Will visit again.

Wow. Great food, great deal, don't know why this place isn't more popular. The fried chicken, waffles, potatoes were all super tasty, light and crispy. Pricing is very reasonable. Back of the house seems a bit dingy and the section of street it's on is a bit old, but this place is worth the visit for the food.Food: 5/5

The food was bomb! We’re here on vacation and walked for a quick breakfast. The waffles were delicious and the portions were great. Order the Mango lemonade! So good on a hot day

The burger and fries came out fresh, hot and crispy. They use a smaller sized chicken thigh in their burger, which can get a bit over fried, and seemed to be the case for me. But overall the burger was still good, and the curly fries were great. The other downside was their lack of customer service, the young Asian girl at the front wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t seem like she was happy working there, which is a shame, as it may limit how frequently I may visit in the future.

The atmosphere of the cafe is so great! I could order only a shake and sit in here. Also, the employee is very kind. Shake tastes much more delicious. Before I go to this place, I imagined a cafe that is similar to another cafe that is called "cafe". But, the place is close to the restaurant. It doesn’t mean “it is not good.” Just is little different from what I think.

Great combo options for low price and particular amount of food, for someone who can't eat much that was really nice. Super crispy outside lovely soft inside waffles. The fruit pop drinks are also delicious, fruit juice mixed with sprite. Definitely recommend this place for an easy yummy grease spot Food: 4/5

Really disappointed. The chicken burger was very overdone including the bacon and lacked flavour. The strawberry and banana Nutella waffles were dry and definitely didn't have actual Nutella in it. The only saving grace were the drinks but they were quite pricey.

Ordered chicken and poutine. Chicken was excellent! Crispy outside and juicy inside. The seasoning on the outside was tasty and not overwhelming. Was pleasantly surprised by the poutine. It’s an optional upgrade from the fries— but it’s seasoned fries and that works really well with gravy and cheese. Lots of flavours and textures!

Pros: Great tasting food Love the "Off the Grid" vibe Amazing prices Cons: Oreo waffle was cold Portions are just off Plating and cutlery paper everything just makes it an disappointing experience Will not be going again anytime soon. For take out it's a great option tbh just don't trust the pictures from a year ago that show fancy plating and silverware.

Chicken and waffles were very well done. Don’t let the awful photo deter you. Solid meal, however the seating at the establishment lacks proper back support. 4.5 stars.Recommended dishesWaffle
