I used to practice Bikram for years and I've been wanting to find a studio to call home. I love my 6am 60 minute classes with Lisa - who is an amazing, dedicated teacher and great mentor! The owner, Colin, is also a great teacher and super personable his 90 min classes are awesome! The studio is in a great location, super clean and all the teachers that I've met so far are warm and friendly! Thank you for guiding me in practice and I always leave the studio feeling refreshed and energized!
I went here for hot Bikram Yoga after a long 5 year break. Colin helped me set up a time for an introductory course, and that was really helpful. I was very happy after my first class. Everything was very CLEAN, organized, and professional. I highly recommend this Yoga Studio!
Colin guides the 90 minute 26+2 hot yoga class with grace, compassion and cadence . Nourish Hot Yoga is welcoming, well appointed and equipped . I am so happy to be back in the hot room again . There is truly no other yoga that gives the benefits of the 90 minute 26+2 class … Truly the best!
A few years ago I injured both my knees to the point where I couldnt even kneel down, Colin taught me how to do yoga and I was able to kneel down again after taking classes, he pushed me and I got the results I wanted. I also lost weight doing with helped my knee joints.
I really wanted to give this studio a 5-star rating since I thoroughly enjoyed the yoga sequences and Pilates classes. The studio has very friendly staff as well. However, the reason for 2 stars is that one instructor states weight loss as a health benefit during all their classes that I have attended. The idea that weight loss promotes health is not something I agree with and I would like to share a different perspective: I am a healthcare professional and researcher. I have been in both inpatient hospital and outpatient settings e.g. eating disorder. From research evidence and practice experience, intentional weight loss is unsustainable, and is often associated with or even causes worse health in the long term. In fact, many patients/clients my colleagues and I saw ended up in healthcare because of diet culture. I tried to communicate the message above to the instructor but the response I got was that a lot of folks come to the studio to lose weight. No response addressing health. I believe yoga is more about spirituality and health. I don't see a weight-loss-based approach as beneficial for your clients or necessary for the studio to thrive since loved all other aspects of the studio and would have been a long-term customer otherwise. I would like to invite your studio to consider adopting a health-focused and weight-inclusive approach.
A great Studio for yoga. The room is clean, the vibe is right & teachers are great. Reason for 4's is because of the range of yoga classes. If they had a couple classes touching more on meditation, spirituality & free flow I would rate 5's While the classes they offer are consistent & well taught i think they could bring some new teachers / class styles to widen their range of practices offered.
I tried this place out for the first time and was super impressed with the overall customer service. Patrick got me signed up using the awesome Groupon I purchased for 10 classes, follow up call the next day to ask how my experience was. I survived and will be going back! I feel great, a little sore as I havent exercised in a long time but already notice a change in my posture and aching back as well as less stressed. Would highly recommend to friends and family!
I liked the old place better, the new location is much smaller, specially in the change room there is not much space! Only one washroom, and the set up for showers is not the best, everywhere gets wet and I don't like it to walk over wet spots!! Recently, they are offering much less Inferno Hot Pilates classes and more Bikram classes. I was really enjoying Inferno Hot Pilates classes here before, very good instructors, but my favourite trainers do not offer classes there anymore, I am disappointed. It used to be much better in 2019.
Highly recommend this yoga studio. I've visited a lot of studios around the world, but this still remains one of the absolute best I have been to. Teachers are just fantastic and the yoga room and facilities are second to none. If you are visiting town or lucky enough to live nearby you should definitely check it out.
